QQs guys,

Which details need to be used to access to ECAS, Sponsor, Sponsored or each details would lead you to the different part of the application?

How long did it take since you received your AOR to be able to access?

Thanks!

This is how it worked for me.

Since the first step is the assessment of the sponsor, put in the UCI of the sponsor and sponsor's family name, DOB and country of birth. My sponsor was able to access Ecas 7 days after receiving the AOR and even thought we got an email regarding SA on 28th Jan it is still showing Application Received!!!

Ecas was under maintenance on Feb 1st and last week too it was not accessible, so maybe that is the reason you can't find the details.

This is how it worked for me (I had to call CIC cause 1 week after SA I still couldn't log in):

1. For sponsor: UCI number, family name of sponsor, DoB of sponsor and place of birth of sponsor.
2. For applicant: File/Application number (starts with F000), family name of applicant, DoB of applicant and place of birth of applicant.

Make sure to put just the family name, not the full name. Once the decision is made on the sponsor (SA) you can check the applicant's details both under the sponsor's profile and under the applicant's.

Hope this helps and just like someone else mentioned, yesterday ECAS was down for maintenance.

They should be updating the visa office processing times soon. Last quarterly update was on Oct. 30th, so lets hope we hear some good news. My VO is at 13 months at the moment, I'm hoping it will go down a couple of months, since their times are based on last year's processing. With the strike and all, I think that's why they are so high, but the strike is over.

CIC is pretty slow with the quarterly updates. No update as of today.

well it doesn't give a date but according to ecas my medical results have been recieved

;D my boyfriend just received an e-mail from CIC.
It's the SA!!!!!! Feb 3, 2014 :D

They usually do their updates on Tuesdays, so hopefully tomorrow we'll see some new processing times.

Any good news on your side?!

Good morning...

I'm visiting from the Jan 2014 thread. :)

I've noticed that some people are getting an acknowledgement email after about 3 weeks, saying that the application was received in Mississauga.

Our application arrived in Mississauga on January 8th (by Fedex) but I still haven't received any email.

Should I be worried? Patience is not my strong suit!! :-[

Don't be worried, I was in the same situation. I received an AOR (acknowledgment letter) 1 hour after the SA (sponsorship approval). They sent them both by email. First my husband was notified he is eligible to sponsor me and one hour later an email saying that they received our application. Strange things do happen when dealing with CIC.

Also, their processing time was at 28 days back then, and it took them 36 days to finalize our application. I was really worried.

You shouldn't be worried. Some people received their AOR the same time as SA or after SA.
