Well that makes absolute sense, and it's good that they took that initiative to assist. I guess you're not complaining that stage 1 was super fast :)

Patience09, Thanks for your words, and I can totally agree with you about how one can get a bit obsessed, especially with no real reason for delay. Not knocking anyone, or where they're from, but seriously, this application is from our neighbor country we do everyday business etc with, shared border. One would think it would be faster, no language difference in in reading documents, shared policing information between them, passport information.
The system seems reasonable of course, to expedite those in more need in specific situations, but in general,it seems to also favour other groups, especially when stats show by more then 5-6 months sooner process times, according to their site information.
No offense to anyone, just what I see going on is all.
And yes, the first stage seems to go fast, then the wait begins.

Hi all, I have a question. I am also a December applicant, going through Vienna. Looking at the December spreadsheet, I see a lot of people who applied later than me (my application was received by CIC on Dec 3rd) and who already got a Sponsor Approval, AOR or even both.

It's been 34 days now and I haven't heard anything from them. We've been checking our email every day (my husband is the sponsor). There are two other people with a timeline close to mine (33 and 35 days since applying) but both got an AOR and one of them is from Vienna. :'(

Should I worry or is this normal?

Hi Avadava,

I think, there is no reason to worry.. YET. The holidays are over so, hopefully, they are now back to their regular operations. Keep the faith and your fingers crossed everyday. If not, there is no harm in contacting their call centre. ;)

anybody who submitted their Medical Exam with their application see the Med Exam on ECAS?

Of course, I'm not. I have prepared myself in waiting because of the things I've heard and read so, I guess I should be okay. Good thing my husband's gonna be home in a months time. So that makes 13 months of waiting instead of 14. :)

Hi CanadianWifey. It's under the Permanent Residence Application hyperlink. When i click it, here's what it says:

1. We have received XXXXXXXX application for permanent residence on December 9, 2013.

2. Medical Results have been received.

But it doesn't say when.

Ohhhh pretty cool! I have one line right now....application received! LOL! =)

Mine said the same thing, name and medical results received, about 2-3 months after submitted documents and was approved.
I think what it means is the doctors office/exam, has sent their portion in and they have received them.
That's my understanding anyway.

Mine doesn't say that they received my med results yet. It just says Application Received and under the Sponsor was Decision Made. However we have included in the application the medical certificate issued by Trafalgar in Makati (that's where I had my meds done) I guess the updating of the status in ECAS differs because there are different VOs handling our applications. Oh and that goes with the approach they use. Some may have scanned all the documents we've sent and others may have - along with the checking of completion of the documents- also checked in the "online system" that they have when verifying the results of the medicals that were already completed. :D I remember asking Trafalgar how they will be sending the Medical results. I was informed that we won't be getting a copy of the results. Rather, all the results will be encoded in the online system that CIC provided them so that when they need to see the results, the VOs can check online. ;D
