Hey ..good news! We just got our passport request!!!

I have a question though..any idea how long it takes to get the visa stamped and the passport returned..? We had travel plans for the end of this month..was wondering if we could still make that or it's better to re-schedule that..? Please advice..

Also what are the consequences of not sending the passport to them within 30 days?

Yes..it was in process..and PPR came in Friday..and the status changed to decision made when I cheched on Sunday morning ..

Sure!

-Application sent 7th december 2013
-Application received by CIC 11th december 2013
-AOR 30th jan 2014
-Request for RCMP clearance sometime in march I think
-Medical Request 24th June 2014
-RPRF request 3rd July 2014 and paid the same day
-Medicals done on 11th July...results sent to CIC 2 weeks later by the doctor (22nd july)
-ECAS Status updated with medicals received - december 1st week 2014.. there was a huge gap in the time line here..we had ordered for GCMS and found that the officer had changed twice (once in july and once in october)..this delayed them looking at our medical results
-Passport request 9th January 2015 and passport sent the same day to cic
-canada post says it will be delivered to them on tuesday (13th january)

hoping to get it stamped and returned to us soon! will keep you posted!

The PR card Delivery time is pretty much 4 to 6 weeks.

You will see sometime Next Week.

Hi I also got passport request for myself and my wife. After long wait right before 13 months time frame we got this. Being an silent watcher this forum really helped me. Thanks Guys.

Here is my Timeline.

Dec 18 2013 _ application sent
Feb 5th 2014 - AOR received
Jun 27th 2014 - Started processing application
Jun 28th 2014 - Request for NOA & T4 (Sent in 2 weeks)
Jun 28th 2014 - Medical Request (Sent in 2 weeks)
July 13th 2014 - RPRF request (paid in 1 week)
July 18th 2014 - Emailed CIC abt my wedding & Received email from them for additional docs
August 5th - Added my wife in to my application (send all files)
October 15th 2014 - requested medical for my wife (sent in 2 weeks)
After long wait - we got passport request last week.

I am wondering what's with the status of december 2013 applicants, receiving their PR card. I landed and became a PR on Nov 16, 2014 and as of today it's been over a 2 months and havent received my PR card. I am from Vancouver, BC. So wondering what's going on with people with similar timelines, would be nice to hear about from you guys ??.

We received your application for permanent residence on December 20, 2013.

We started processing your application on July 8, 2014.

No medical requested or anything. They asked for supporting documentation on July 8th via email and I sent it via mail and email but I haven't heard anything back since then. I tried calling and I requested GCMS notes. its been 13 months now. no word or update or requests!

Please advise what does that mean ?

Hi i am also facing same issue i have applied on Dec 23rd still i didn't heard any thing from cic. They request documents on Sep 9th and sent them on sep 10th and got latest GCMS on Jan 09th there is nothg progress from that day

If your GCMS notes doesnt say anything suspicious, Its better to wait. I am sure they will respond in few weeks. Also I heard the new express entry process might delay us.
