It's case by case. Most of the time they don't take any of the documents you bring to the test. The cic agent will require your passport to verify the stamps. In my sister's case that's what happened.

i am just curious can we postpone the ceremony once we received the letter. I am planning to visit my parents because of family reason. anyone who postponed their ceremony? thanks

I did my test yesterday in Mississauga. The process was east and fast (at least for me). It took a little over 2 hrs. At the end of it, they gave me a letter for the Oath on Jan14th.

It seems that the letter to prepare for the test after the RQ documents are sent is actually more than just an acknowledgment. I believe it means that the test date will be seriously scheduled soon. Prepare!
Am I right? It's not the first time I see a post where the test date is not far away for the date of the test prep letter.

I agree. But recent applications in Montreal are even faster. it's taking an average of 5 to 6 months to schedule for the test.
