Congrats!!!

Had you sent them your wife's passport already??

They asked us to send passport with envelope big enough to insert COPR, but we still never got a message like you saying it was officially approved...they received my wife's passport on December 30th, so I'm guessing they have to return back before Jan 30th.

Applicants from visa exempt countries usually don't get a PPR... they don't need a visa to enter Canada
You will probably know by checking ECAS and see decision made... that usually indicates your passport with Visa and COPR are on the way back :)

Hoping we all hear some good news soon

Received an email dated January 27th
Requesting new medicals and once done to submit passport along with an Appendix C and photos

Was really hoping the medicals would be extended as that is the only thing preventing the visa from being issued

Very happy about receiving this email :)

Congrats! Still nothing for us.. Waiting, lost in the queue.

Hey all right!! Congrats!! Finally!

You can probably do like we did and send passport as soon as you get all documents together since now the 6 weeks is actually 2 weeks, right?

FYI we got the email on Dec 6th, Medicals done in Thailand Dec 10th, Singapore received passport on Dec 30th. Thinking about it, this probably means that it's been at the most only 1 week that Singapore received our medicals from Philippines, makes sense?

Our story gets more interesting Huh

Last week we contacted our MP's office... as we have been in process for almost 3 months.
Yesterday they replied and said that there was an internal request to extend our medicals... we explained we had a letter requesting medicals. And she requested a copy of the email and letters we received... She inquired again today and CIC is very confused about whether we need to have the remedicals... We will know by next Wednesday

We called the local panel physician to see how long to get an appointment just in case we need to redo... she asked for our IME number and she checked the system... no number in the E-Medical system so the doctors office doesn't think we need to do them... We think the remedical letter was issued prior to the request for the extension... The remedical letter was issued Jan 22nd, the extension was requested on Jan 21st

Also our remedical letter states we only have 30 days for them to receive...not 60 days.... it is all very bizarre

Very bizarre indeed! In our case, they asked for the medicals in a month, but we received the letter like 2 weeks after it was issued, BUT they asked to send the rest of the docs AFTER 6 weeks...this had gotten us confused, so we just did the fastest we could for everything!..

Received the notes we ordered a couple of weeks ago and it clearly indicates the request for an extension of the medicals
So... we will wait until tomorrow to hear back from the MP's office

Pretty quiet in here :(
We had to redo xrays for applicant and dependants have to see doctor in Bangkok ... not a great time to be taking children into Bangkok :-X

Xrays done here in Canada and have to be couriered to Manila... as original medical wasn't done on the new e-medical system
Emailing letter to original panel physician in BKK for when children get there.

Once they have been to doctor in BKK ... we will forward PP to Singapore

What a hassle this is... trying to arrange things from half a world away

Hope the remaining Dec 2012 applicants hear something soon

Still quiet for us - no movement on eCas.. Waiting patiently but patients to have a limit. Hope we hear something soon!

Hey Jo-macral

Have you ordered your notes yet?
Apparently there is a very slow Visa Officer in Singapore... just wondering if your file was assigned to that one :(
You should be hearing something soon as applicants from 2013 are hearing news

Fingers are crossed for you !!

I think it's time to take that step.. I've been putting it off in hopes it wasn't needed, but I am curious now too.

The notes have been ordered.. now to wait 30 days (hope sooner)

Seems applications of 11, 12/ 2012 stand in without moving any more. They are processing applications of 2013 at high speed. It's unlucky for all of us. :(

The last time we ordered the notes we received in about 2 weeks
Let me know if you require any help reading them :)
