Yippee, got our COPR letter yesterday! We applied in December at the end of the month. We are already living in Quebec so my partner is going to flagpole next week. (have to have the letter Fedexed from our house in California to Quebec). So happy!!!

Sending lots of wishes for others to get good news soon as well!

Congratulations Katzenbaum
You are almost at the finish line :)

Hey wussup yall!!

Long time since my last depressive post mentioning I had to go back to Canada while my beautiful wife has to stay in Thailand until news from CIC.

Well, the CIC logging page now mention that they started looking at our file on August 23rd!! I am guessing this means the decision can't be crazy far now!!! :D

FINGERS CROSSED!!!

Mr.Rock
That is awesome news!!!!
Hopefully the rest of us will get some good news soon :)

Wow, that is fantastic Mr. Rock!!!

Thx guys!

Here's what the CIC page mentions;

Permanent Residence

1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 24, 2013.

2. We started processing your application on August 23, 2013.

3. Medical results have been received.

I think I had read that sometimes people lost time because the medical results were expired, (and/or the police report?). Do you guys have any info on this? Else I'll just wait a few weeks to see when the decision will come (I am guessing it should not be more than one month now).

Thx!

I was "In Process" for exactly 2 months as a UK applicant. Others get word in a week. It's random.

Medicals are valid for 1 year from the date they were done. If they expire CIC may extend the validity or may request that they are done again.

Thx a lot for your reply Orly, it's really appreciated!!

Good look to all for September!

I got a message from CdnMom about updating our status, but it won't let me reply via message so I hope you see it on the forum. Currently we are still waiting. We had to re-send his passport photocopies and they wanted another security clearance from the FBI, which of course got lost in the ether of Canada Post (arrggh). So they are re-mailing the clearance to us and hopefully it will actually arrive and we can forward it on to Ottawa. Frustrating since we probably could have the visa by now if it wasn't for the 3 month delay.
