Hey Lilly and Iam,

Any news on the PPR front? Its been about 2 weeks since you guys heard that your files were transferred correct? Any other Decembers hear that their files were transferred? I emailed Ottawa last Monday to ask if they received my PC which i sent 10 days prior to that, i was hoping i would also be told that my file is now in Detroit, but unfortunately they just said that their records show that my PC was received, and that their office will communicate with me regarding the next steps in my file. Ah man.. I hope they dont request any other documents... just want the rest of this process to be hassle and stress free :S

I too am eagerly waiting to hear some News on this 8)

I got my PPR today at 12:58pm!!

I have to send it to Detroit. Although it says "If you are a citizen from a country that is exempted to obtain a visa to visit Canada under Regulation 190 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, you are only required to send a copy of your passport and of the passport of any accompanying family member."

- I'm from the UK, so I guess I only have to send a copy of my passport. Which is weird....because they would have a copy of my passport photo page in my application.

We are not too far from the Finish line!! Hope we'll make it in 2-3 more weeks..

Aiden, Iam... congrats guys! I'm so envious! I'm just so frustrated right now - I'm afraid the PC request might delay my processing a few weeks, even though I handed it in a week after they requested it, but the thing is i asked the call centre about me needing the PC in my situation back in October, and they confirmed I didnt need it, if i had known they could still ask for it, I would have handed it in along with my app and would not have had to worry about this. Oh well.. Hope the PPR omes along quickly, I've already stopped working, but have 90 days to rejoin my employer.. so I really hope things work out for me in a timely manner

Thanks Lilly!! I was quite surprised to receive the email from Ottawa. I thought the PPR always comes from the visa office that will process your visa. But i got it from Ottawa asking to submit it to Detroit!
