Anyone who has done medicals in Toronto recently? Kindly assist with the need to now or any advise or a link? I am applying via CEC. do I need them to send the results to CIC or? kindly advise best way to go about it and if possible a doctor.

They will send the results and you will receive a sheet which you'll have to upload in the document checklist.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx use this to find a clinic.

Just tell them you need an upfront medical and bring your letter of invitation - also make sure they choose NON-EDE - Worker.

Hi DelPiero, what is that NON-EDE ? I prefer to mention that upfront to Dr.

Thanks

If you submit your eAPR before that date then no explanation is needed.

Otherwise you'll need a new PCC

I can't, because i've got my medicals booked for Jan 7th in India. This means I will have to apply for a new PCC which may delay my application further :( Thanks for the info!!

It's your immigration category - it should be NON-EDE - Worker

CIC website states:

Job offers will only need to be a minimum of one year in duration once they receive permanent residence.

By changing the job offer requirement from permanent to one year means that more highly skilled candidates working in contract-based industries will have a higher likelihood of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residence.

My question: Does this imply that a permanent employment mentioned in offer letter suffice the needs ?

No. You need a valid work permit in order to apply for BOWP.

Thanks for the reply Delpiero07, but with the porcessing of the application can I get extension on visitor permit?

Hi guys,

Should I get the Medical exam done now? I'm going back home (South Korea) in a few days and I rather just do it over there. Does it matter?

Thanks!
