Coming from a financial background, it probably depends on if the account limit. Ie, if there's a 500$ limit on daily card withdrawals, and you're trying to pay $1000+ fees, it would decline it.

From expereince in applying for Work Permit, i always needed a credit card. The fee for WP was around 100$ at that time. May be CIC made a change, but i m very sure debit cards are a no go.

i have all my documents ready to submit ...i need to apply today for BOWP

you will get an ITA in 24 hours , wait for it . and yes you can go ahead with your BOWP application as well

You'll need to submit and receive the AOR before applying for BOWP. Hope things work out well for you.

Debit visa will definitely work.

Sometimes you have to activate your debit visa for online use. Just make sure that's done.

The whole purpose of these debit visa cards is to work where credit cards work.
