Dec 2021 Visit Visa Applications pls share timelines

Hello everyone,

Re-applied for my parents visitor visa on December 11,2021.
Biometrics were done on august 06.2021 and it’s also updated on their file.
But I have seen no update so far., saw lots of December approvals coming. So hopefully it may take a week or two more.
Any December applicants still waiting?

Doesn't look like they reached Dec files yet. People who applied in Nov are still waiting as per the Nov thread.

you are right, so far nov 16,2021 files are being processed (seeing the trend, also saw one nov 27th file approval)

Files are not processed in order. It's like random lottery pick. There is some logic followed by IRCC in sorting and processing the files randomly.

I applied TRV for my kids on Jan 7-purpose: tourism but no update yet.I might be wrong but I noticed review of eligibility get changed/starts only for applicants who are required to do medicals example new borns or who are being sponsored example parents

also I believe the applicants who got PPR’s quickly unlike us ,their applications were processed somewhere else and not in Delhi like my brother in law’s and his family’s application was processed in Ottawa and not in Delhi and they got PPR in just 15 days.

Not until your approval is done/visa is issued or you call IRCC and check with them.Most likely its NDVO only which sleeps more than it works ,if it was some other you would have got a decision by now.

Also may be try looking at your BVL ,if you already got one ,which office issued it -I am not sure about this one but if one office is issuing you BVL ,I believe it should be responsible to issue you approval as well.

well, I have applied through GCKEY people telling new portal seems fast I am sure is it so?

would it be possible to transfer our file from GCKEY To the new portal? Anyone who did or has any information on that. , Can't wait for my parents I am sure everyone is waiting for their family to join us here in Canada this summer.

there is no difference between the portal or gckey account now,I read somewhere on the official page it doesn’t make difference where you apply now that’s why there are many files stuck on new portal as well like the gckey

We’re processing a lot of older applications right now. This means if you apply today, you may not wait as long as the processing time shown above. We’re working hard to reduce both the backlog and our processing times. "

A quick question.... I'm a PR and applying for my mom's visit visa through the new ircc portal.
The portal is not asking for any invitation letter, proof of relationship, or PR card it's asking for her national ID document, passport, and employer letter (from Canada), no more documents were required. Is that normal? I didn't say she will be working ?????
