Hi All,

Creating this this thread for people who have submitted online application (https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login) in the month of December 2021 for sponsoring spouse living outside Canada.

If I have any other further updates on my application, i will post here. Please post here if u have submitted your application in the month of December.

let us not create any WhatsApp group and break from this thread as it will not help or benefit to everyone, if discussions are done in this thread itself, it will help all future applicants also for their reference.

Little bit info abt my application.

  • I am PR in Canada, I am sponsoring my wife who lives in India. Current Application status - submitted, Application date - 2021/12/10 5:28 AM (UTC).
  • Created an account with my wife email ID in PR portal https://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login
  • Assigned myself as representative in IMM5476 and I helped my wife to complete the application. She just did the last declaration part and submitting part from India for just namesake :)
  • Most of the forms will be like online web form which u can fill and submit in the portal itself. But forms like IMM1344, IMM5532. IMM5476 were not like online web form, they were available in PDF format, which needs to be filled in manually through computer itself and needs to uploaded back in the portal, But the catch here is that, these forms require PA & sponsor signature. So to avoid the confusion, we printed - filled in the forms - got the forms signed by wife and myself - scanned the forms and then uploaded the forms in the portal. I saw a message in one of the threads where @BillionaireIsrael stated that, their application was returned the very next day for updates after submission as the forms (IMM1344 & IMM5532) were not signed, they were marked as incomplete. Thanks for the info @BillionaireIsrael. thread link for reference (https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/online-spousal-pr-application.738188/post-9674887)
  • I also printed the checklist IMM5533 , as you cannot write N/A on the forms through computer.
Please post your questions here, will see if I can help in any way.

Hi Ganesh, Thanks for the detailed information and heads up on signing the forms. Did you get your wife's PCC upfront or we can submit this later? Sames goea for medical? Also, does it matter if i create online application ID with my id(sponsor) instead of principal applicant?

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Vikesh, I created this thread without knowing that there is already a thread created for Dec 2021 by @ik_p (https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/december-2021-outland-spousal-sponsorship.751461/#post-9869053)

Going forward you can post your questions in the above thread related to Dec 2021 outland spousal online application.

Now answering to your questions one by one.

1) PCC has to be submitted along with all IMM forms & Other supporting docs at once. i did it like that. i Believe your application will be marked as incomplete if u submit your application without supporting docs. If u see the checklist there is line for PCC, at the top of the checklist it says that u will have to keep all supporting docs mentioned in the checklist along with application package. If any docs are missing u will have to keep a detailed letter of explanation stating why you are not able to provide it. so u will have do it now. i believe if u submit your application without PCC they may either reject your application for incompleteness or they may request for the doc from you which will lead to delay in processing your application.

2) With regards to Biometrics and medical you will have to wait, as your application is gets processed through different stages you will asked to do biometrics and medical, If you go through most of the threads, u can see applicant mentioning their different atges where they were requested to do biometrics and medical. search for word biometrics in the guide - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/application-forms-guides/guide-5289-sponsor-your-spouse-common-law-partner-conjugal-partner-dependent-child-complete-guide.html

3) I am not sure about that. Initially i also created with my ID (Sponsor) but later created a new application with my wife ID (Principal applicant) as everyone has done it that way. And it makes sense also because ur wife is the principal applicant, so its better to have her ID. But added myself as a representative in IMM5476 so that all communication will come to me.

When you validate IMM 1344 form in the end, there is a clear message from CIC,if you are doing in online you don't have to print and sign, the delcaration sign by principal applicant will take care of it.There are clear instructions from CIC not to sign by printing it ,if you are applying online. However if you would like to sign you can sign.It seems like in September 2021,there was no validation message.Like they have not asked me or any of my friends to sign it.
I think they are improving this online process day by day and not everyone is aware of this,so I think all the case processing agents are also getting used to it.

This thread is a duplicate. For dec 2021 Outland applicants there is already a thread created. Please find the link below and discuss in that that thread.

Now answering to your question, it is better to hand sign and not take risk. And We all have done our research, even though u get that pop message, on another hand, in one of the places in CIC website itself it says u have to hand sign.

Hi all,
I applied for my wife’s sponsorship on the 5th of December 2021 from Quebec. I still haven’t received an AOR, is it the case with everyone? Has anyone who has applied at the same time received an AOR?
