In my opinion the funds in Post office can be considered as a security but transfering the funds to the foreign bank account abroad may be not easy like what done through the banks. The post office does not have such international currency/fund transfer arrangements between banks . More over you mentioned it is a monthly income scheme and not a fixed deposit or bond. Any how there can be more opinion on this topic from others.

I cannot give u a 'sure shot' answer, but in my opinion: While 'landing' [as u enquired], this might not be accepted. Similar to a non-international bank's statement -the landing fund needs to be in 'ready' liquid Canadian$$$.

There are many variants going around this topic here -but taking a chance at it might not be a wise thing. It'd be better if u carry the landing funds in Cash, TCs &/or a Bank draft.

It will not be accepted. See the money must be in such a form which is easily transferable. As Qorax said, it is better to be safe. If still you have query then sending a inquiry to CHC will help you in this case but I think they will reply with a regular template email for proof of funds while landing which I have already posted on this forum.

Though we have different opinions, as advised by qorax and rocky, to be on the safe side, we should carry funds as liquid as possible....

thanks

Hi erikvirgo, as you said your post is off topic, I wish to mention here that the members have their own liberty to choose any "username" created themselves with any form of alpha numeric combination. Not necessary to spell properly or with any peculiar meaning.

oh pls don't take it seriously...yes off course...the members have their own liberty to choose any "username" created themselves with any form of alpha numeric combination. Not necessary to spell properly or with any peculiar meaning....and that is okay too.. it is all the other members that spelled qorax quite funilly...kinda big deal for me...in a real word, being able to spell your friend, sisters, mother, coworker, boss, relatives, doctor, religious leader names correctly show some great deal of respect.
Well this is maybe just a id/member name for immigration forum site and I do not see any different than how we respect the names in the real wold...against..no offense.. it is just me and maybe we are different in viewing and believing things...at the end we do love and respect Qorax...that is why it is kinda charming to see he is being called more a dozen variation of Qorax. :D
