Dear All,

I live in Netherlands and need a Police clearance from this country: But Netherlands is a country which needs letter from CIC for issuing the PCC. The CIC site states

Do I need to provide a Police Certificate for Express Entry?
"Yes, but only after you submit your application. When you apply for permanent residence, you will be asked to upload a police certificate. Instead, you must upload a document that states: I am applying from a country that requires an official request letter from IRCC to get a police certificate.”

I am clear with instructions on how to get the PCC. But i am not clear regarding the deadline regarding this. My eAPR deadline is say on July 7th. Should I upload with the full PCC before that date or just with this document containing that I need to get a letter from CIC before that.

In other words, do I have to collect all other documents, upload them along with this document ("I am applying from a country that requires an official request letter from IRCC to get a police certificate") then get letter from CIC run to dutch authorities, get PCC and re-upload that all within 90 days ? Anyone has any idea on which upload does that deadline apply ?

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Just upload the letter, your ITA deadline is not related to the deadline that you'll be given to upload the PCC after eAPR submission.

Dear guys, I need your help!!!
I used to study in NL for 2 years and I'm now living outside NL. I have the same concern as yours.
  • So to be sure, I don't have to worry about the Dutch PCC until I get the official request letter from CIC which will come after I submit my e-APR?
  • Also, what is the document that states "I am applying from a country that requires an official request letter from IRCC to get a police certificate"? Is this just a A4 normal letter that I write and include the above sentence?
Thanks guys!!!!

Yes. Just submit a plain paper letter with the declaration that you need NL PCC and include this with your ITA documents during submission for AOR.

After review, if all docs are clear, they will send you the letter and create a placeholder to upload the NL PCC once you receive it. You will be given 30 days to provide it.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

By the way, whether I can fill in my Dutch friend's address in the address box in the application form? Or I have to fill in my residence address? Cos i think it will be faster for them to send the VOG to my friend in NL. Thanks ya

Dear guys,
I don't know why but I applied for the Dutch Police Report and they approved my application (form, fee, and the ITA) and issued my Police Certificate already.
Should I just upload it in my e_APR or should I wait for IRCC to send me the request? I just thought that may be uploading it now might be seen as unacceptable?

Please advise. Thanks ya.

No it wont be - you can go ahead and upload it. PCC can also be acquired for other reasons besides immigration or for immigration other than Canada.

Good luck :)

Thank you a lot for your quick reply. So it will be ok to upload right? because they did mention in the PCC that I applied for immigration in Canada...

Hi,

I have applied for PCC in India but the process is taking longer than I expected. The deadline to submit my e-APR is in the next 2 days. In case I don't receive the PCC from India, would a declaration work? And are you sure they would come back to me asking for the PCC later when they process my application? I cannot risk my application to be refused because of this.

Need some assurance/ tips for alternative things to do.

Thanks.

Hi jyotimathur,
So have you submitted the e-apr without PCC?
I am in the same boat. I have only 2 weeks left and Police saying, its festival time so they don't have capacity to do it and they will do it after a month.

Hi,

Yes I submitted my application with a declaration attached to it with my situation as I didn't see any other option. It has only been 10 days since I submitted so too early to say whether they accepted this or not.
