DD not encashed....

hi friends...I checked with my bank...DD is not yet encashed.....it has been almost a month now....I am very worried my documents has reached safely or not as they were sent by my consultant and they are not giving me the tracking number

I guess DD made in favor of Receiver General For Canada, payable in Canada will take longer time to get encashed....while DD made in favor of CHC New Delhi, payable in New delhi, will take shorter time to get encashed....kindly correct me if i am wrong.

I am also in the same boat
I made the dd payable at delhi
Sent passports by overnite express and recieved on 15 th feb with status of recieved with stamp from courier agency

Me also worried how much time is taken to encash

Seniors kindly provide your views on these two cases

hi pharmaguy....we are in the same boat....I have seen some people in this forum who got their DD encashed within 6 to 7 days and some people like us who has not got their DD encashed even after a month....my biggest mistake was I hired a consultant and even after repeated request they do not give the tracking number of the courier as they say it is their company's policy not to give tracking number to any clients....so I dont even know when the sent the package and when it was received at CHC....

DD payable in Canada will take longer due to remittance outside India to DD payable in India.

Normally it is 3 to 5 weeks in India & 7 to 9 weeks for Canada.
