Hello experts!
I immigrated as PR on 10th May 2013. The expiry date on my PR card is 15july 2018. My 730 days should complete till 15 July 18 or 10May 2018? Confused!

Expiry date on PR card is irrelevant for calculating residency obligation.

You need to have 730 days in Canada by 10th May 2018.

Thank u very much for the information!!
Plz solve my problem: I had gone back to India in between... Till 10 th May 2018 I would complete 740 days. In between I have to visit India for at least one month. Is there any provision to do so? Plz let me know soon....

The rules are clear you must be in Canada at least 730 days in 5 years, any time out of Canada does not count but your question is confusing. What do you mean 740 days is that all the time you complete in Canada between May 2013 and May 2018 ? Or are you saying if you go to India for a month between now and May 2018 you would be below 740 days even let alone meeting 730 days.

The expiry on your PR card is irrelevant. What really matters is if you have 730 days physically present in Canada within the 5 year period preceding the date of your application for PR card renewal.

FROM 10th May2013 till the date you apply for renewal of your PR your PHYSICAL presence in Canada should NOT be less than 730 Days.
