Hi,everyone:

I've applied to permanent resident under canadian experience class after 3 years with a working permit. Came to Canada with my daughter when she was 17. Now she's turning 21. She got at the same time of my arrival a visitor record. I've try to put her under my application 'cause her visitor record expires at the same time as my WP. She got her High School diploma here and even a flight attendant course. The officer on the CIC told me that she cannot apply under my application because she's not under 19, so she must apply by herself. The problem is that i can't find any application that fits hers but a student permit. After 3 years in here is this the only option that i have with her? Anyone with a similar problem?
Help Appreciated.
Francisco.

CIC is correct in saying that you cannot include your daughter in your PR application because she is too old.

She will have to apply to immigrate independently (if she qualifies). If she can secure a permanent job offer in Canada with an approved LMIA, it may be possible for her to apply for PR now. Otherwise it does sound like a study permit may be her only option. Note that a study permit won't give her PR, it will just allow her to remain in Canada longer as a temproary resident. If she wants to remain permanently, she will still have to qualify and apply for PR separately.
