Dear all,
The Following link on of the caps page.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp

I have noticed the last line (Foot Note) is showing following information on the page

"The number of complete federal skilled worker applications received as of May 4, 2013 is an estimate."

Why the date is May 4, 2013 ... Isn't should be May 4, 2014?

Please clarify.

Thanks in advance.

CIC update on applications received is 7 weeks behind the actual applications submitted.

There will be new update by CIC this week.

Thanks in advance.

Dear Kas,

"CIC update on applications received is 7 weeks behind the actual applications submitted."

I cannot understand what does this means?

There was some discussion on that line last year, with various re-interpretations of the phrase "as of", but basically all it means is that they forget to update that bit of the page :)

Applications arrive at CIC, and some weeks later they get counted as being in the cap. At that point you get sent a "PER" email.
The updates to CIC's webpage are then based on who is in that cap at that point, so it is not taking account of the folks who sent their documents within the last month or two.

Hope that helps.

Dear loncan,
Again this page gets updated, number of completed applications are increased but date is not updated again.

Please correct me if i am wrong in the following assumption
"This caps page shows all the completed applications which are received till that date when this page gets updated, not the date which have been mentioned in footnote"

It only counts them if they are processed to a certain degree and checked as complete. And yes, the date in the footnote should be ignored.

Hello All

My application was received on 4th June. Till date (8th Aug) I have not received any mail communication. Is this time to give up?

Regards,
Td.

I think 2013 instead of 2014 is a typo. In addition, the day May 4th also doesn't seem to be updated anyhow.
