Apologies in advance if this is the wrong topic to ask this question -- I merely chose it based on the fact that it relates to my study permit application.

I just received an email through my online portal implying that application to study in Canada has been approved. My passport was sent (via a VFS) to a Canadian embassy late last week, and now that I have received the letter, I assume will be back in my hand within a few days. Now I'm worried about the entry date for Canada, because I would like to book my flight(s) as soon as possible to avoid paying higher prices, and I'd rather not wait a few more days until my visa to reaches in my hand (already have missed some good-price flights). On the other, in the letter the intended date in "validity date" and the "Must enter Canada by" are both 2023/11/26. I was wondering: when is the earliest that I can book my flight(s) to Canada?

PS: In my admission letter that the university has issued, it is mentioned that my studies will commence from the 26th of August 2019.

Thanks for your help!

From applying visa to get the PPR!
I applied on the 29th of June, heard back from them (original passport request) on the 29th of July, sent my passport to a VFS on the first of August, and today -- Aug 6 -- got this letter (through the online portal) implying that my study permit has been approved (along with the expiry date of the document, etc.).

You can enter right away .
It's not recommended to enter more than 4 weeks of your start date.
But since it's August already , come right away :)

Welcome to Canada !

Where do you see the application is approved? I first got a message through my online portal, and the next day my status was updated to "approved". If you haven't received any messages yet, you may want to send an email to the corresponding embassy that's processing your file.

PS: my passport has been stamped with the visa, and is on its way home now. So it basically took 2-3 days for the whole process.
