Date of birth certificate issue

I think, if the SSC contains your name, father name and DOB, that should be fine to submit. Along with this you can submit an affidavit.
I sent my application with both. I have taken affidavit in Canada.

Could you please tell what did you write on affidavit? And since its for my husband who is in USA, he might have to get one from there or I can do it here in Canada?

I am in a simillar situation as your. I have submitted following documents:

1. Certificate of Birth issued from High commision
2. High school ceritificate ( only has DOB no father's name) and Higher secondary school certificate ( Has father's name but no date of birth)
3. Marriage certificate ( has father's name and date of birth)

still to get the feedback from CIC. finger crossed.
I don't have anything else. I was born in a village and birth certificate term does not exist there
