Hello,
I am applying by paper very soon for myself and a minor. I have two questions:
1-Do I need to submit a birth certificate for my child.
2- I have a birth certificate translated by a certified Canadian translator but it was translated long time ago in 2014, can I use it?

Thanks

Reference to the application guide here

translated documents must be either in English or French and accompanied by an affidavit from the person who completed the translation

Translations may be done by:
  • a person who is fluent in both languages (English or French, and the unofficial language), or
  • a Canadian certified translator (a member in good standing of a provincial or territorial organization of translators and interpreters in Canada)

I have my daughter birth certificate in Punjabi and translated to English used for PR purposes. This was translated and notarized in India. Now for citizenship application Is that ok or do I need affidavit as well as separate document.
