Damascus/Spousal since Jan 2010 or late 2009

hey guys someone from my mp's office called me earlier.. just to share with you she took my husband`s file number and information she said she will verify where the file stands, if they need more info etc... and will call me back next week. she told me you should go ahead and re-do your medical exam since it`s expiring this week .. but then she also told me that since the processing time is now 13 months, i should expect to wait another 3-4 months....

nagz its so confusing i got totally different info from MP and within 3hrs of him taking my info . he said NOT to re-do the medical becuz they dont ask for it in all cases. i verified that info with service canada and the lady told me the same thing! to wait for them to rquest it if needed..what does one do? aswell they told me the file is there and no problems just waiting for the processing which is moving slow. apparently the embassy in Damascus was closed which is why some files went to Ottawa. they dont publicly announce this becuz it will create chaos, however the embassy is open and running i called them last week (of course they weren't helpful ONE BIT) .. i wish we could ALL know what is truly going on.. Hope ur MP has better info

wow that's so weird! I asked her if the embassy closed and she said no! and she said for sure they'll ask for a new medical test because one's medical condition can drastically change within one year??? did they tell you when they'll provide you with info on your case??

We need some one who lives in Damascus so that he visit them and see what is going on, but as this , no news at all seems hard for all of us.

for all who their medical closed to expired , I advice you do it, and do not send them that u redo, but if they asked then send and save time, because what I notice they are working so slow , and it seems they ll not process any file in Aug but in Sep, so that mean after ead aldha .....
Hope I am wrong and they ll do some job here.

I can assure you that the embassy is still open, my friend from syria is applying for student visa and he was there yesterday, so they are open but surely they are VERY SLOW !
