Hi guys,

No PPR yet but I had sent a long letter detailing our situation to damascus offfice a month ago and had received nothing.Today I open my email and I got this:

Dear Madam:

Please be advised that we are processing as quickly as possible. The file is in the queue for review by an officer and should be reviewed before the end of the month.
Should the file be incomplete and additional information required your spouse and yourself will be contacted.

What do you think guys?Today is the 11th.19 days to the end of the month ???

loool vivi thanks for ur research ;) ouch, singapore is even worse ???
ali, i think also like vivi, it's ok to make an inquiry :) good luck!
for the rest waiting for long time without any answer and go through the Quebec route, mKe sure that the embassy received ur CSQ; they will start processing only after the CSQ is received
aaah guys, did u hear abt the attack on the us and french embassies in damascus?...maybe that could trigger closure of those embassies and other embassies too....i'm worried :(

hmmm, i'm thinking about how their way of responding to emails has changed! lol! they never mentioned about when the file will be reviewed by an officer or saying that we're trying to process as quickly as possible! i like these polite damascus people!
Azadehkhanoom, inshallah you will hear very good news by the end of the month. :)

exactly!im sick of it , i know i havent been waiting long but COME ON! i am not importing illegal drugs, guns or explosives...... its my wife!!
i dont get it, get off your lazy assess and start earning what we pay you for !

and they say why mexicans are jumping the fence to get into the USA , because this stupid process takes so long that people would rather live illegally, change this ******** system !

dear vivi best of luck to you too dear :-*
wow hearing that they are doing their jobs as soon as possible is a good news ,but on the other hand maybe it is because of the complaint of people who have had long processing time because I know that many have complained about the slow moving processing in damascus.or maybe they are preparing to leave syria and they are going to do the job fast before leaving!because as mentioned, US embassy was attacked that is located in damascus.

I found this ,thought good to share

Syrian government supporters smashed windows at the U.S. Embassy in Damascus on Monday, raised a Syrian flag and scrawled graffiti calling the American ambassador a “dog” in anger over the envoy's visit last week to an opposition stronghold, witnesses said.

French Embassy security guards fired in the air to hold back supporters of President Bashar Assad's regime who were also protesting the French ambassador's visit to the same city, Hama, in central Syria. One witness said three protesters were injured when guards beat them with clubs. The witness asked not to be identified because of the sensitivity of the situation.

so it is likely that canadian embessy wants to shut down for the security purpose .I am just thinking what will happen if it does happen.I am really sorry for people that are being killed there.it reminds me of the protests in Iran :'( I feel heartache for them.

yeah i was in the protests in iran, im lucky i didnt get the worst of it, i just got hit a few times but i was able to run away, anyways i hope the best for the people of syria, no human being deserves this...... they just want freedom and rights...... its not too much to ask , but yeah i was expecting this day to come, the embassy is still functional , but if this continues they will close it down :-X
