Damascus/Spousal since Jan 2010 or late 2009

I've been hearing that things in Syria are looking good, and it's not as bad as the news is saying. My Hairdresser here in Lebanon is going to visit his family in Syria today. I told him that I heared the roads were closed and he said that they weren't and that everything is normal there. Even the Syrian workers that work infront of my Husbands place are loading all their belonging into a van, looks like their going back home too!! Hope this means PPR's this week! Good luck to everyone who has been waiting for countless months!

August 1st.... if no ppr before the trip.... and if there is, we will go sooner to enjoy my time off work helping Samer get comfy in Canada. We are playing it by ear for now. All I know is i can't wait to smell the stinky part of the highway going from the airport hehe :

I have a question regarding mailing my passport, since I live in Canada I am not sure what type of courier service I should use and if they can mail passports to Damascus? Is it possible to ask the embassy to issue my visa in the Canadian embassy in Buffalo? I wold appreciate if you anyone has any suggestions
