Thanks for adding me to the list, I am finishing My M.Sc. as a chemical Eng. I could have sent my file to Buffalo instead but the 7 month processing time of Damascus intimidated me to apply there :( , my friend got her PR in 7 months from Damascus last year. I wish all of us lots of luck

hello to all,
I am still here watching from a distance
i got discouraged really when i have to resend more documents and meanwhile my medical has expired but they did not request a new one so far, my lawyer advised me not to redo medical without their request
i have a feeling they will request it again soon.
I am so glad for everyone who had their files finished and wish the rest of us all the best with a happy ending with our loved ones.

if you guys want to find out the average time it takes for your files to be finalized come and check the website next year! lol!

my friends, i said this before but i really want everyone to stop worrying for no reason! :) as i said that processing time on the website is just the average time that took 80% of the files from april 2010 to march 2011 to be finalized! it doesn't say ok people so we're gonna process 80% of your files from april 2011 to march 2012 in this time too! this number is just an approximate of what it has been for other people in the last year, not what its gonna be in this year!

remember these are just numbers, an average, mr x doesn't have a car and mr y has two cars, the average would be one car for each person, (and try explaining this to mr x)! :D

Dear Vivi,
I really admire your optimism. What you say is right.Changing the time from 10 months to 11 doesn't mean that all cases will take 11 months. But it does mean that the average processing time has increased which is bad news. Friends of mine applied 2 years ago when the average processing time(for 80% of cases) was 8 months and they all got their PPR in less than 6.
I guess we'll just have to wait ::)

Dear hanna,
when your medical will expire? did they send anything to u for redo medical ?

the first medical has expired back in Jan, they requested a new one and we did send it to them about three weeks ago....right now just waiting

Dear Hanna, when did they request for redoing medical, i need to know if they ask for the second right after it exopires or it may take some time after expiration?

Thank you

Dear NH
her medical request was on 19 april so 3 months after expiration.
if you want to predict for your own,i think when they complete processing the case they look on date of medical so if medical expired or expire in 1 month they request for another one because visa expiration date is as same as medical date.

it was not right away, in fact it took along time. They just requested it on April 19 and we gave it to them on April 27. The first medical did expire at the end of January 2011. We still have no word from them since that time.
