It's alright niloo Jan. Just be cautious to have a confident interval between Toronto stop and the next flight to Vancouver since all his immigration paperworks will be held in Toronto airport (it may take few hours). He can also provide the officer with your Vancouver address with no worry.

My husband's flight is through Toronto but he only has 1.5 hours before his next flight. Is it going to be an issue? What will happen now?

That is what I was hoping to happen.
I remember my landing took long even though it wasn't busy at all. I hope he can get to his next flight with no problems. I don't want him to have a bad experience on his first trip to Canada. :

MP can't help speed up the process. They can only investigate on your behalf in case you have been waiting for so long.
If I remember right, Ankara received your application on Feb. You still have a few months ahead of you. I know the wait is really hard unfortunately. Hopefully you will receive some good news

Shayeste Jan, as niloo told, the paperwork can take just a few minutes but a long line might end up in a serious delay. I concern that the main problem won't be how to get into the next flight.the more serious problem is that his luggage will be sent to Vancouver in advance and he may arrive several hours later.
So if I were he, I go to the travel agency and ask them to make a possible minor change in flight schedule bringing more time between 2 flights. If that doesn't workout, I'll try my best in Toronto to be one of the firsts in the immigration line while I inform immigration staff of my situation and ask them to consider the urgency.

I also have another question. What is the landing process in Toronto? Where should he go? I landed in Vancouver and it was so long ago that I don't really remember. I just remember that we went to a different section than other people were going. Is it still the same? Or should he go to the same section as everybody else? Because I noticed they change a lot of things recently!

I have landed in Vancouver as well. I guess that its not different in Toronto.he should go to the immigration centre and then come out and go to the internal flight place.

My cousin immigrated to Canada a few months ago and she was coming from Mashhad and final destination was Vancouver with a stop in Montreal.
I think they had something like 4 hours between flights. But they missed the flight to Vancouver since the immigration stuff takes a while to process.
It was a nightmare for them... We tried to negotiate with Qatar Airways to send them to Toronto so overnight they could stay with us then go to Vancouver but they said no and the last Vancouver flights had already left so they had to wait for the morning flight!

If you still haven't booked your flight make sure there is a long transit time between your first stop in Canada and then the final destinations or at least there are more flights to the final destination after your own flight so in case your husbands miss the flight there will be a next flight that they can be put on. And yes the Airline will not charge you extra but it's not really their fault that immigration takes a long time. I wouldn't be surprised if they refuse...

merciiiiiiiiiii for your response...I think we are going to explore options to see if it is possible to fly first of directly from ankara and to land directly in vancouver... i will keep you guys posted as to what we decide to do...although i just checked flights to ankara from tehran and they are only 185 dollars...
