No you should not. It is absolutely normal. It takes time that ur status changes, and it will change usually few weeks after u received the email of PPR.

is there a way to call the embassy in Ankara anyway?? Has anyone ever been able to talk to them over the phone?

Thanks

Dear Paranama, congratulations to you and your wife. To promote the statistical model, I usually encourage my friends to provide us with precise dates and any updates. I will really appreciate if you, as well, let us know the exact date that your application was received by CIC, the exact date of your sponsorship approval, and the exact date that Ankara VO said your file has been got into process.

My husband's medical was expired on Jan 28th...we havent heard anything in that regards...and we had paid landing fee in Sept 24th.......I guess those who paid all the fees including landing fees in the beginning of their process are receiving pprs and we delayed our own process by not paying landing fee in the beginning....but I was told not to pay it until approved. :-X

ps. Congrats to all of you guys with ppr....u r so lucky :)

Hope all of us get PPR soon...

hello everyone
here comes the quarterly processing time update for ankara:
January 16, 2013

still the same 16 months, so no change as some guys here speculated .

:-[

The number is for the entire past year. I am really not sure about its accuracy. At least, here in our forum we did not have even 1 person whose Ankara's processing time exceeded 13 months (I am not sure about Kazhal whose information was not included in the spreadsheet).
This can be easily explained. When the average is calculated for the whole year, those whose cases were finalized in the first 9 months of 2012 had more impact on the results than those whom finalized afterwards. The point is that that average has been calculated based on the data of the people whose cases were sent to Damascus in the first place; those who applied around spring and summer of 2011.
sadly, it took almost 6-9 months of doing nothing for their files to be sent to Ankara. So if you wanna know how long it took for them in Ankara, just simply subtract 6-9 from that 16 months. It means almost 7 to 10 months was the average waiting period in Ankara.

If you wanna simply have a clue to figure the meaning of the 16-month out, consider that it is talking about those who got their PPRs in June and July 2012 (months 6 and 7). It says that their files were sent to Damascus VO in Feb-March 2011. Those who had applied late in 2010!
We can expect that the processing time falls significantly when it comes to report the results of the late 2011 applicants. It may take 6 months from now (the report which will appear in July 2013), when most of us got our PPRs ahead.

kinda true but as i always said there is no f.k specific rule/policy/procedure when it comes 2 issuing vissa. one can receive it in 6 month one received it > a yr. in my opinion it all depends on the f.k officer whose handling the case. that's all and all.
