There are agencies that take about that mmount mentioned $150. But the recommended method is to use an official CIC lawyer in Iran. They are much more reliable and they actually sign an agreement with you. They take more money, but they are much more reliable. The agencies are under no obligation to do what you ask them to do and there's no way for you to complain to them if they loose your passport.
I just heard this from someone who arrived in Canada a month ago...

Thanks, that's a very good info. Do you think I can do that from within Canada too? Since, my wife and I are both in Canada, I was wondering is that would still be an option.

Thanks

We received the request for passport submission this morning.
The email mentions that the passport has to be dropped off in person .... My wife (the sponsored) is currently in Canada and I was wondering if there is a way to avoid going there in person ...

I don't think lawyers are willing to go to Turkey for your visa from Canada. The best thing as Sheyda said is to send you rpassport to Iran and that your relatives use a lawyer to do it from there.
You can send it via DHL or Aramex which is safe.
I'm not sure how it works if you are both in Canada. But I think you can do it at the border. When your visa comes, you can go to Peace Arch, Exit Canada, but don't enter the US, just tell them to give you a refusal of entry into US. Then you can come back into Canada's entry point and then they will do your immigration work. But Maybe you can ask this in the main forum. Others may know better.

Thanks, I will check that in Iran. regarding landing... we live in Quebec, and when I first landed, I did it at the US border with Canada, but now the regulations have changed and you dont have to cross the border anymore and you can do it within Canada ...

I am also planning to email the visa office in Ankara and see if they can arrange so that I pick up the visa in Canada... Does anyone know if that's a possibility at all?

I'll reiterate my offer: I'll be at YUL airport on Friday afternoon (my flight is at 7 PM), going to Turkey (via Amsterdam) and I would happy to help you. If they tell you they can send the passport back to you in Canada, with the visa in it, I could drop it at the visa office in Ankara next Monday while my husband is having his interview.

Wow, I didnt know you were actually in Montreal... I thought you meant you were going to Turkey from Iran ...that's so nice of you , I currently live in Quebec city but I can definitely come to Montreal on Friday to give you the passport and the letter. I just need to check with the embassy if they would send it back to us by mail/courier. I will get back to you once I hear from them.
Thanks alot, Aarsh

Actually if she stays Ankara till Tuesday and then comes back to Canada, she can give the passport and take it back and bring it here :D
unless she comes back to Canada Monday night, because they accept passport Monday and Wednesday and they give it back Tuesday and Thursday

Hahaha! No, I'm not in Iran. I'm not Iranian either, nor is my husband, but I know too much about this stressful process! I'm not in Montreal (I live in Gatineau), but my KLM flight leaves from Montreal. I'm going to Ankara for supporting my husband and show the visa officer I'm not just a name on a marriage contract. If I can help someone else at the same time, why not?

Aarash jan has ur wife traveled a lot? I mean did she go abroad a few years before applying? Thank u

wowww :D :D :D I had gotten everything wrong :D
Seeing a lot of people from Iran and then the chain of conversation and back and forth comments got me to think you were from Iran. Well, I very much appreciate your kindness. I have just sent an email to the embassy and waiting for the response on their passport return routine. According to the letter, they wont accept to return it by courier but I hope that's not the case. I hope your interview goes pretty well and your husband gets the visa the same day.
