so we should find someone to go to Iran first,
maybe it's better to post the passport to Iran for some relatives, and they sent it to Ankara

What about landing then? His wife should land again in Canada and do the immigration process at a Canadian airport. The best way, i concern, is going back to Iran and getting the visa.

No U dont have to do that, I used to be international student before I became PR and I just crossed the Canadian border did U turn before reaching US border and landed in peace Arch border by car crossing, I believe now u can also do your landing in some CIC offices as well.

Again bad news! The Canadian embassy in Cairo, Egypt has been shutdown. So, it is supposed that the Cairo's immigration files soon get distributed in other Middle Eastern embassies. I wish, Ankara does not accept any of it.

...or Amman or Beirut.... because I would like to HOPE no ONES files get delayed more than they already have.

Where did you read it was closing for ever? I just read it was closed yesterday, again today, and that it will be closed until further notice.

I understand it is a temporary closure for security reasons, nothing more than that at the moment.

Yeah, you might be right. I read it in Iranian news websites. I wish, as you said, it's just temporary.

I am so hopeless. I remember the same waiting in OCT, NOV, DEC. I am sure you remember. Did you contact your MP? Did you send any email? Did you order GCMS? (If you don't mind answer)

dont laugh at me what is MP?: :-[
actually i just apply for GCMS last week i still didn't get the answer.
i followed from my lawyer the only thing that he said is the waiting time is usual

MP is the abbreviation for Member of Parliament. MP can email and demand for a followup if your waiting time exceeds the Ankara's due-time.

MP is the member of parliament. Don't worry those are not very helpful. You "MAY" get what you will get from GCMS notes sooner if you talk to MPs.

that "in person" i think it mean don't post the passport
my husband give his passport to agency last week on Monday, and today they return it back
88702160 جزیره بهشت they take 150$

That's a great idea!!! I can definitely try to send my passport to relatives in Iran and they can send it to Ankara. I had no idea that the agencies do that kind of stuff.

Yes the security checks can take forever. I've noticed people who don't have a travel history get pprs much faster than people with a lot of travel history. This is because the background checks are requested from every country they've been to and this can take months. Don't worry hopefully you are next on the list to get your ppr.

There are agencies that take about that mmount mentioned $150. But the recommended method is to use an official CIC lawyer in Iran. They are much more reliable and they actually sign an agreement with you. They take more money, but they are much more reliable. The agencies are under no obligation to do what you ask them to do and there's no way for you to complain to them if they loose your passport.
I just heard this from someone who arrived in Canada a month ago...

Yes it's just temporary.
Damascus VO was closed for a few months until the files were transfered to other locations like Warsaw and Ankara.
And that was because of the war there.

Thanks Sheyda,
I was wondering if you know what would be the best courier to send my wife's passport to Iran?

Thanks
