Hbehnameh you're right, I wish I had never ordered it. It wasn't too early, kind of informative too, but so many negative comments from officer

At least I know none of Iranian students go back after graduation.... and they're worried whther our loved ones do harm to their country But don't worry your notes won't be more than 3 weeks, maybe they process it faster as you already waited for it. I really hope your husband get PPR before GCMS.

here is the forum of applicants of ex-damascus visa office, mostly ankara. as our timelines are a bit different from yours, but stiil yes, we have one or 2 applicants remained from october 2011 or sooner.

Email Fingerprint check requested thru RCMP by Buffalo Consulate 3/12/2012
Fingerprint check Mailed to RCMP 4/4/2012
email from buffalo that application is in process and they they are unable to provide a date as to when the processing of my application will be complete 4/12/2012
Results sent by RCMP to Buffal Consulate for fingerprints per 5/25/2012 email from RCMP 5/11/2012
Notification via email that case was transferred to Ottawa 6/22/2012
Ottawa help desk email states file was transffered and is working thru a large number of files at same time 9/17/2012
Ottawa help desk sends email stating that I should hear from an agent within 2 months 10/17/2012

I start thinking the embassy closure in Iran has affected the background/security check (the embassy closed in sept). Every week passes and we wait for another one. This is even worse than the time that files were in Damascus.

You might need to create an account to be able to see them but basically they report many pprs in October for Iranians from the Warsaw office and not a single one from Ankara. If the problem is security check, it should affect all Iranians no matter where their application is. I can't help but thinking maybe it was true that different visa offices have different quotas for issuing pprs and maybe the Ankara's quota for 2012 has been reached and they only issue ppr under special circumstances (e.g., the applicant's medical being close to expiration and etc.). Hope it's not true, otherwise things would be like this at least until mid December.

Yes, that is true. I was thinking about the same thing (Ankara's quota for 2012). The transfer happened at the end of Jan. But how about this year Damascus quota (if they set it at all)?
This system is LAME if it is the case (anyway it is lame even if not )

has anyone here got anything from fuckn ankara in the last month??? any replies to emails and what not.......on the security and background checks..its all bullshit...they say oh we use Interpol, csis and other resources and yet again people on false doc, false marriages etc get pprs and get into this country everyday...they whole system is shit!!!

It's just a hypothesis and is as valid as others ... only time will tell us what the heck was the reason for this long interruption in issuing pprs at the Ankara office. It's like that Gary Moore's song which says: "Your life is like a wishing well, Where it goes only time will tell" ... of course in our case "Where it goes, only [CIC] will tell" ;D ;D

It's so rediculous if there is quota for spousal sponsorship.Please don't say such things unless you are sure and have resource.I'm getting sadder than ever...
