Hello everyone!! My husbands files are in Lebanon and i have some news to share. My birthday is on Friday and the embassy called my husband today and he got his visa!!!!!!!! They said to drop off your passport on wednesday and pick it up on friday!! I hope to GOD this nightmare ends for everyone!! 17 months of being depressed and not knowing what is going to happen!!! Love u all and good luck everyone!!!!!!!!!

I sent all my applications and the supporting documents to CIC in Mississugua On Aug 20th/2012, and I havent received any AOR or confirmation from them yet, i checked with canada post and it seems that everything was delivered but they havent contacted me yet.. should be concerned at this point or I need to wait more?

It's gonna take at least another month. CIC says 70 days, so yours is nearly 30 days.

Thanks, I was getting worried about that. This is quite frustrating for everyone, I hope they come up with a better system in future to take care of things faster. American immigration is alot faster when it comes to issuing visa to spouses or even fiances despite the fact that they have over 300 million population !!!

Yes they do, My cousin sponsored his fiance to states and it only took 6 months for them to get the visa!

It seems in case of "Spouse Sponsorship" any country is better than Canada! My friend in US sponsored his bf as well; They Applied in March and he is going to have his passport stamped next week! The whole waiting process for Fiance Visa in States as indicated in their website is 10 months! :-X
