My wife picked up her passport from Ankara. She said more than 10 people were in the room before 1pm and everybody got their passports before 2pm.

Once you get PPR, stop being anxious, the rest is just routine process.

Many congratss to u and ur wife, wish u a happy life.
Were all those 10 people involved in spouse sponsorship?? Or applying for tourist visa, etc?

hi arash,
welcome to the forum. yes, I am sponsoring my husband from Quebec, and this was my question, too. but when I looked over the chart which is done by our friends in this forum, I saw that the federal and quebec are the same, no difference in processing times, but this is just my perception. but generally, the speed of ankara vo is amazing, i hope a fast process for u, too.

I received my approval as a sponsor from CPC in Mississauga on Jan 20, 2012. At that time the Damascus office was closed. However, the letter from CPC as well as the CSQ indicated that they will send files to Damascus. Considering the current bureaucracies I was concerned weather or not our files make their way directly to Ankara or it is sent to Damascus and then Ankara. Any idea about that? Thanks

it's hard to verify, but seemed to be all spouse sponsorship applicants. For instance, one applied through immigration lawyer and took about 17 months.

i hope people don't waste their money on lawyers... unless it's a special case.

Your file among many others including mine were sent directly to Ankara. I also received the same letter, though after calling CIC (in March), I was informed that my file has never left Canada.
