happpy anniversary Lele, mine was on saturday the 26 and i spent the whole day working 11 hours lool ,,,,inshalla you will get it tomorrow or wednesday....btw dont stress over it too much god knows whats best for us sweety..stay positive i know its hard to do,,,i have had major break downs in the last 2 years and i have stopped worrying too much about it now adays because there is nothing i can do, so i decided i wont stress over it too..when its time it will happen love, take care and inshallah that time is wed/tues for you..

14 months of being on this site i never heard of anyone getting a call,
i was so confused, he didnt ask anything important ,he confirmed where i live and asked me if i knew my wife was dropping off the passport, thats it, then he said i will issue the visa,
kholase ajib gharib bood, i think its up to them , like the interviews, not everyone gets it...
i was relieved when he said everything is ok though

something very interesting guys, this morning, at 7 30 am, someone called me, i picked up it was the canadian embassy in ankara, they told me your wife dropped her passport off we want to confirm some things with you, they pretty much asked me like 5 questions and said ok everything seems fine, we will issue a visa to your wife and she can pick it up tomorrow,

to be honest i was confused a bit because i hadnt heard that any sponsor got a call directly from the embassy, i mean i know it wasnt a big deal or anything, but it was weird,

he asked you are in ontario? we ask to see if we have to issue special papers, then he asked if i have the same number, i was like yes you just called it lol, he asked about employment and if i wanted to withdraw the application, what a dumb question, i waited this long to withdraw it? then he asked about bank statement, i was like what?! he then quickly changed his words, never mind its not a big deal,

here is the funny part at the very beginning he was like ARE YOU AWARE YOUR WIFE DROPPED HER PASSPORT OFF, i guess there is so much fraud these days that they need to let sponsors know

hey i'm wondering what is the maximum weight of luggage allowed onto the airplane. i called air canada earlier and they said 1 bag -- 50 lbs (23 kilos).

The customer service sales person I spoke to said the person travelling could pay an extra $70 and bring with them a second bag for the same weight (50lbs) plus a carry on.

Does anyone know whether newcomers to Canada get any sort of special treatment with regards to bringing their personal belongings or is the limit 1 bag 50lbs (23 kilos)?

It's 23kg unless the baggage agent waives the overweight fee as he was more than nice to do for me in November 2010, flying out of Amman's airport, but it resulted in the luggage falling apart from the extra weight in pulling it back home in the snow, so I would suggest not going over the limit.

Finally its OFFICIALLY over, my wife got her visa this morning, they also returned all the stuff i sent to them (pictures documents etc...) its a good feeling to know its over, especially after the little scare i got yesterday morning when they called my house lol ;D ;D

if you have a work permet in iran so it will be amman and if you have permenant resident in iran so it will be ankara
