Received the approval for the sponsorship on June 2011 and from July 2011 the only update was that they received the application for permanent resident. Today I just found out the status has been updated from APPLICATION RECEIVED to IN PROCESS and the date was May 23 2012.

vivi2 said:As I have said before, YES people with PPR have to pay it. A person with a single entry permanent resident visa in their passport is NOT a permanent resident yet, they become a PR when they land in an airport in Canada and they sign the COPR in front of an officer. And as long as someone is not a permanent resident of a country they HAVE to pay the exit fee --> People coming to Canada for the first time to land, HAVE to pay this fee.
After this first time and for the next travels to Canada because they are a PR they are exempt of paying the fee.
Or if you guys still don't trust what I say, you can figure it out at the midnight of your flight in Imam Khomeini Airport with those khoshakhlagh bank karmands yourselves!![]()
