i have to say this ankara thing is a bit of a pain, i know its a lot faster than courier but its harder too, im trying to see if i can give my wife's passport to a friend to take it to ankara, i would feel more comfortable doing that then having to send my wife, she hasnt traveled at all and well it worries me,

my iranian friends, i have a question,
i am pretty sure i know the answer but it doesnt hurt to be sure,
is it possible for someone to fly from ankara to canada without going back to iran? me and my wife talked about and we realized there is no point for her to go back to tehran, so we are looking at a ticket from tehran to canada with a 2 day stop in ankara, my wife asked me if its possible to leave turkey with an iranian passport.... so it kinda made me curious, im pretty sure you can, any thoughts?

i would assume if she gets the canadian visa then she should be fine...there is no point in going back to tehran and then coming to canada from there....but r u guys going to take the passport in yourselves or how is that work...congrtz again and congratz to everyone else that got ppr request this week...best of luck...

yeah it should be ok, well its not just my wife going to take the passport, the canadian embassy in tehran is offically closed(immigration purposes) and thats why from now on all iranians HAVE to travel to turkey to drop off/ pick up their passports.........

Sohran jaan, jigar talayeh baradar... congrats bro. When I read the good news I had this adrenaline kick in me, for two reasons one because you finally got it and also mine is closeeeee :) Arezou, and Mahnaz congratulations to you guys as well, dasteh raasteh hamatoon too kaleyeh man.

I wish you all the best brother, you have a good heart and because of that you will receive everything you want in life.

About leaving Turkey with an Iranian passport to Canada, I would rather ask the Canadian embassy or the immigration of Canada just to make sure. The only thing that could be a roadblock is that your wife will be going to Turkey with a visitors visa and they require her to go back, in the future that could cause some complications.

And when your wife goes to Turkey just let her stay for 4 or 5 days just in case. Now that I look at it, hopefully ishala when I receive the PPR I will send my wife and a family member to have fun for a week and get the visa as well, it shouldn't cost much.

Anyways, guys, nobati ham keh baashe nobateh maneh haaaaaaa :)

And of course all my brother and sisters from Iraq, Lebenon, Jordan and the rest who are waiting for good news.

I wouldn't suggest that....first of all if for instance she decides to go with Turkish airways the connection is Istanbul. So she needs to fly to Istanbul first. Besides, she will lose the advantage of overseas luggages.
I.e. If she flies from Tehran to canada she can take 2 luggages of 23 kilo with herself but for going to turkey only one is allowed and this way she need to pay a lot of money to freight her stuff.

Iranian people don't need visa to go to Turkey. and they can allowed to stay there up to 3months not 4 or5 days

Siavash jan, I don't think paying an extra $70 for a luggage would matter much, because he will see his lovely wife 6 weeks earlier. Ein hameh zarar oonam roosh :)
But guys, my question is what other alternatives do we have? My wife lives in Hamedan, would DHL or TNT or any of those couriers accept and take the passport back and forth?

Guys. I sent an email to Ankara today and I received an automatic relpy email. But the email did not say anything like in how long . I remeber when some people emailed them in the automatic email, it said something like we will reply you in 40 days. right?
