Nicholas Keung, Immigration Reporter for the Toronto Star, has responded to my third and final email, and said he passed them to his editors, and he made an inquiry to CIC about all our problems, so it shows these emails really do have an effect!

But we have already seen that Ankara has issued 2 visas during the last couple of weeks.

Caips Notes took from 5 to 6 weeks ... but because there were holidays ..you can consider some delay .so I reckon you will receive them in 6 weeks .

To those of you who have ordered your CAIPS notes....
How long did it take to receive them? Did you receive via email or mail?
Our request was received 4 weeks ago (I sent registered mail so I could track that it was received and when it got there). I am hoping to get them this week...

I have a question, should I tell my husband to re-do his police check and send it to Ankara before they request it?

no dear friend tell him to do it, translate it and keep it and see if they ask, my wife re did her medical and police check in december we sent(emailed) the medical but she has the police check ready to go, ankara doesnt seem to ask for it, if you guys remember damascus asked for RQ (residency questionnaire) ankara doesnt have that either

this is just a general fact but i wanted everyone to know just because we arent hearing from the VO's at this moment in time it doesnt not mean its bad, lets go back to january when cnn and bbc and all the other media outlets were our source of information, and then all of the sudden january 31 we hard the embassy is closed..... i think just the fact that we know our files are in a safe, normal vise office where they are being processed is itself a sign of relief, i personally was going crazy until i got confirmation that my file has arrived in ankara on the 2nd of april, yes im angry for waiting 13.5 months yes i miss my wife yes im sick and tired of this stupid process but atleast i have one less thing to worry about and thats where the hell is my file......
anyways i hope things pick up soon, and as far as CIC ill keep you guys posted if i hear anything new or interesting, so far there isnt much , just a few people whose files were lost in the process of transfer, but thats it

yes, when the embassy in damascus closed on 31 of january, i started messaging ankara for different reasons, new medical, new address, all sorts of things.. nothing, my mp called me on the monday 2nd of april and said i got confirmation today that your file is in ankara............ they next day tuesday the 3rd i got an email from ankara saying they got my wife's new medical....... yeah it took 2 months to transfer!!!!! not everyone was like me though, a good friend of mine who was waiting for 10 months got his visa few weeks ago, which means his file arrived sooner than mine, yes there is still an order and a waiting list but after the transfer they basically tried to get rid of as many files as they could....... unfortunately i nor anyone else waiting more than 10 months was one of them but fortunately my friend substone was....... and im happy for him, it has nothing to do with the person or details,

my whole point is im glad i know where my file is...... its going to be my turn sooner or later

The second day he call me to say that he call ottawa and that my files is in transit to beirut and that everything is clean. In april I call my mp and he told me that the only that change is that now he have the confimation that my files is in beirut vo so that it. He told that know they start processing the files and that I have to wait. He told me that you are not alone in this situation its not easy but you have to be patient. Nshallah soon we will have good news. Ina allah ma3 el sabirin ( god is with the patient people) sorry for the bad translation

salam aziz, dont worry there are many people just like you, ive been waiting 14 months for my wife to come and i work for immigration canada, dont waste your time on links, and news and all of that crap, its a waste of time, just be patient, as long as your file is set( new medical and required files) just wait for your PR card, thats pretty much all we can do my friend
