Hello:) When I called the embassy in Ankara last week they told me to continue to follow the Danascus timeline of 14 months as the Damascus applications are separate from other applications and have their own staff working on them. I would imagine as they get caught up the time frame will decrease. but there are many many files waiting so I would imagine new files will have a significant wait as they clear up the back log but hopefully less than a year! having said that.... this process is very unpredictable and anything can happen!! Good luck to you!

Nobody knows how many months. But if you check their web site you will find out that 5 months is for people who live in turkey and others must expect some more waiting time. Henc till now two iranians have received their PPR and I think it is a good sign.

pisha pish eyde noroozo be hameye azizan tabrik migam ishalah sali sarshar az shadio neshat bashe bara hame, happy norooz my dear friends ;D ;D ;D with a new year comes a new beginning :D

When my wife PR application was sent to Damascus in December 2011 and i knew they transfered it to Ankara in 2012, i called the immigration in Canada and one of the officers said it doesn't make sense if the officers in Ankara takes the prepossessing time of Damascus so in other words they consider whatever their processing time is which is 5 months. I wish they could update their website in terms of the Iranian applicants cuz this is so confusing

But i think it is a little bit soon for you to expect an answer or reaction from Ankara. As you know there are a lot of people in the queue also from 2010. So expecting 5 months is like believing a miracle! :D

I agree with you Arezo, but im just saying it's almost 2.5 months that these applications were sent to Anakara, they could at least update their website and let people about the processing time for these applicants

well it is not processing time. They are not telling you how long it will take. It is just the record from last year. They update it 4 times a year. Last time they did it in january. so next time that they will update is in April. How would they know how long it will take when it has beene only afew months that damascus files are in Ankara. In april they will update the time it took for 80% of the cases from april2011-april2012. but still you can't count on that because damascus files have not been there for the whole year. By next year January, they can post the correct number.
I don't get it ... why the CIC officer told you things like AnKARA officer consider ANKARA processing time or ANKARA officers take 5 months ... It is very stupid that a CIC officer said that
it is not like Visa officers say oh this application is in damascus so should take 14 month and this application is in ANKARA so we should finish it in 5 months.
They just do their work and take for files as long as it is needed. some take 10 and some take 4. Then CIC posts the stat every 3 months. JUSt stat. not a promise, not a deadline.
You need to keep in mind that applications in Damascus took longer than Ankara not because the processing time was different. It was because the number of application and the number of officers and many other things were different in the each VO. While ago Sohorab said that now 79% of cases in Ankara are for IRanians, so you can see there is no way that Ankara keeps the same record( 5 months)

there are applications from 2010 and 2011 from damascus. plus there applications like mine that were kept in CANADA already from 7 months

sending away the firms to order CAIPS notes today just to fill my own curiosity:) It 'll be nice to hopefully see some notes on our file.... or better yet hopefully get PPR before we get the notes:)

wow, where is everyone? im in iran and im more active than my dear friends in canada haha, maybe its just because im happy, before coming to iran i was so busy i couldnt really participate in convos but i wanted to mention something , this is from 10 days ago, CIC told my mp that on march 1st they started transferring files, my mp told me sohrab i think they are giving us false info because i have clients that have gotten response from the ankara office, anyways the point is CIC is giving out wrong information for some reason, they told the mp that damascus is starting to transfer then 2 days later the embassy was shut down, like its common sense, anyways if anyone is in contact with their mp's i wanted to tell you dont take it seriously because it seems they are being fed the wrong info as well , anyways hopefully this will be done for all of us, personally i am sick and tired of waiting, going on 13 months and i dont even know if my wife's medical arrived , keep positive guys, pouya getting ppr shows there is no real order, if there was farid would have gotten it, best wishes to all especially my dear Iranians with the new year 2 days away
