I heard from someone in the thread that since July no file was sent to syria (despite the status of e- cas that shows the file was received!!) the files which were in Damascus were sent to Ankara during January. So if ur file was there it's already in Ankara being processed; however, the files out of damascus will be sent to Ankara by march 1.

thanks dear,
God knows where is my file, they gave me an email that sent my documents to Damascus for further ....,
you mean that they lied me,and the letter was wrong? :(

Hi. Do we have to count the processing time for Damascus (14 months) or Ankara (5 months)?

I think we should count the Ankara processing time, but u guys who are waiting for 13 months or more, I think u will get some news in one month, which will be 14 month of updated processing time.

Let i say
If processing time will increase 60 month this is not problem because we have got PERSPOLIS

Hey guys, if someone were to get a PPR and they mail it to the VO can they ask the VO to send the passport back to say the Sponsor's address (Cananda)?

I don't know about that, Syria will become worst than Iraq if they take down Assas, not trying to defend the guy but it's the truth. And the only reason Iraq is still alive is because the economy is strong and it's quite the wealthy country, on the contrary you have Syria being a poor country...

I'm 100% agree with you

So then how the applicant will fly to Canada without his/er passport?
Therefore I think it is irrelevant.

lol Arezou, it's because in iraq there is no exact adress and maybe the sponser could send the passport to the applicant in other way than mail.....cuz I always when I need a document from my wife or need to send something for iraq, I send with someone I know and trust, however once I sent a document by DHL to baghdad and it was soo redicilous and didnt looks like DHL and there were some problem that they wouldnt give the envlop to my wife and I had to make calls and long story!

well you can actually receive things to Iraq, the main DHL office in Baghdad. Basically you give them your address and phone number and when your package arrives they'll give you a call and get you to pick it up. I could do the same but it'd be nice to get my wife's passport in my hand cause I'll be going there to pick her up anyway...

Yeah I know that, but it's really not safe for an iraqi to travel to jordan..or syria during this time! but inshalah things will be smooth and not complicated

And yeah me too when my wife's visa come out I will travel and pick her up ......Inshalah Khair

it's more costly to take a trip to the VO, I mean seeing how Iraq is being handled by Jordan now, a flight to there is pretty insane in cost. Plus, it's difficult for my wife to travel alone and if she were to travel with someone, I would have to pay their costs too :P not trying to act cheap or anything but it is pretty costly. However, if they allowed her to get her visa from Tehran, that would be good because it cheap and its closer somewhat and we've been there many times too
