So your file was in process in damascus just under one year?? did they request any additional documents for your wife during the time??

Hey guys...is it true that that application number we receive in the sponsor approval email is the sponsors # and not the actual File number of the application for PR of spouse? I am confused now.

Hey Dear ,

Yes the number that is 9 digits goes with the sponsors name and date of birth to pull out the file if the file was received at cic damascus then you would see "application received "under the PR option. now the sponsored person's file number starts with eithwe B or F and you should receive it about a month or 2 after the file is in damascus when you get this number you can then enter it under immigration file number with the sponsored persons name and Date of birth to access the file. dont expect a " in process" right away it took me over 6 months to get it and it might take longer or never show e cas not so reliable but e mails from the embassy are.

You can check the chart. They have sent their RQ (residency questionary) on 22 jun 2011.

Thanks everybody for your kind remarks.

Except for the RQ, they didn't ask for any other documents. they asked for the renewal of the medical that we had done it before.

So, a golden rule. if your medical is expired, just go ahead and renew it.

Yalla I know today is Friday but we've seen they're open Saturday so lets all hope for tomorrow ;D
I think this week and next week PPRs will be flying out of the doors! Let's hope for another great week!

By the way, for those asking about medicals...call you doctor and ask them if they arrived in France. My husband and I called our doctor and he said they they arrived in France 1 week after we did the medical. Then they analyze them there and send the results to Syria which takes about 2-3 weeks.
