Damascus/Spousal since Jan 2010 or late 2009

OMG el7amdillah, el7amdillah... our wait is almost over!
Today i received a call (11 eastern time) so around 6 damascus time from the officer reviewing our file--yes, he was working after hours. He informed me that he is satisfied with our file but that he is waiting fora paper from Paris regarding his med. exam (apparently they forgot to send some confirmation regarding meds to the embassy--didnt really process what he was saying because my mind was doing cartwheels) but if my husband is able to make it in Syria in time and Paris emails him the confirmation by tomorrow than our visa is ready for pick up by Wednesday. If that doesn't happen, then we have to redo meds and they will issue visa right after. I can't believe it!
I hope you all hear from them soon. The officer i spoke with on the phone was so nice and it shocked me that he was working this late after hours.

you gave me some hope.....the funny thing is I received a phone call fro 201(area code) but I was not near the phone and as soon as I read your post I called it. It turned out to be advertising company

Inshallah Mikey ur wife's is soon too. Actually, I was surprised at the effort the officer put to reach us. He called my husband's home number, then called my home number (i was at work) so he called my cell. I honestly thought it was some joke at first. Still in shock, because we both didn't really expect things to move like this. I hope they get that confirmation from Paris tomorrow though.

Meds expire this Friday (Oct. 21) so poor guy if they get the confirmation from paris (and please pray for me that they do) in less than 5 days he'll be on board two international flights (one from US to Syria) and another (from Syria to Canada) as soon as the visa is stamped so he can be here on Friday, before his meds expire.

My husband is from Syria and it seems like they maybe trying to process cases of people from Syria more quickly.
Mikey: i would def. wait until ur meds expire before redoing them. They may call ur wife and say let her come within X days to receive her visa...
