My wife had the same problem too, but try to find a professor and he/she can sponsor you with funds. A lot of people are doing this now. Of course, it depends to the course and your must have TOEFL and ... .

If you know that you are going to Canada, it's not worth paying thousands of dollars for 1 year.

damascus office deals with 6 countries immigration files ..but in syria its dangerous for example where my husband lives is very very dangerous and he remains under gun shots until they process in 11 or 13 it doesnt make sense honestly

you go to any university's web site, then find a professor related to your course, send your request via email for continuing education and your background, see if they are willing to support you. Mostly works for post graduate studies.

My wife ended up waiting for her PR, then she will apply in person once she goes to Canada.

Waw congrats !!!! Quick question for you though, did the embassy ask for your wife's medical and police when they were expired ?! Or you guys did them on your own ?! We're going to be in a similar situation soon.
