Btw, I want my husband to go to the Damascus embassy and ask them questions, he wont lose anything, right? It's only a two hr drive from where he is. Should he go? It's going to be 7 months next week and still no RQ, nothing!

I would not recommend him to do that. They will not let him enter. I tried to enter in the Canadian embassy in Lebanon and even if im a canadian they didnt care to let me in. :-[

iam canadian ,i went twice to damascus with my wife,they let me in(the security told us that one of will enter ,so i went in and spoke to them,they told us that ur spouses file recieved in november 2010 so it will may take till november 2011 ) and here we r just waitiiiiing

since you have done the medical you can send them now by dhl or in person to damascus the green sheet your doctor have signed and gave to you and make sure they did not request police certificate becasue those should be together when they are ready to stamp the visa. since it is your second medical within 3 weeks you should be called for the visa so start counting from the day medical reach Paris(if it is first medical it takes 6 to 8 weeks)
inshallah sooner and all the best and start looking for a flight

soooo if they asked us to redo the medicals only without requesting a police check we can send the green sheet alone without need for police check?????and how long time they need to recieve the second medicals i did it 3 days ago

Hey Kamal,

The embassy didnt ask for a new police certificate. How should I confirm? Is this normal ? I dont want to send them something they didnt ask for. Also, how can I find out when my wife's medical reached paris ?
Time line: File reaeched damascus aug 25, 2010. So it has been 14 months for us. Thank you for all the wishes.

My wife re-did her medicals 10 days ago. I dont know how long it takes for the medical to reach Paris. I am still confused about the police certificate, anyone ???

FOR POLICE CERTIFICATE: as per my lawyer and experience from lebanon it is only valid for 3 months however you can get it for free from lebanon if you are lebanese just it is has to be translated and certified and if you send it it will not hurt better have it than not ( just my opinion) and in case you dont send it it only takes one day to apply for it and translate and mail it same day in case they ask for it later dont worry about it now, and as for the MEDICALS all medicals FROM LEBANON will leave lebanon thru DHL to paris only on fridays start counting FROM LAST FRIDAY or the friday before if the medical was done already and give 2 days for mailing which means start the count from tomorrow and wait patienly for 3 weeks and you will be called for passport request and then dont mail the passport but go in person early morning better on a sunday or monday ,they open at 830 am and give the passport for them to stamp the visa . they may say come tomorrow or same day afternoon most of the times.
