Dear my new friends,
i'm so happy to find these site , you can not believe i've started to reading all these 147 pages of these site for 2 days and i just cried all the time for the first time after these damn 9 months i feel some other people could feel my feelings , these days was hardest time of my life i know just you guys could understand me , every time i read your comments i feel it from buttom of my heart.
i pray every day for decreasing process , every day i feel that i can not continue like this any more , all my life these days is on hold .
i hope we'll get our visa soon.

this process is really hard on all of us sarah. Inchallah you will get your visa reallllllllly soon. You re almost near the end.

me too yayamraie....it is so difficult and nobody undrestand...my friends applied just few months before me and all of them got their ppr less than 3 months..it is not fair...this shows that they can if they want to finish our proccess.....

i know it's really not fair when I ask people they all tell me it took them 4-5 months. why is it taking us the double of time??

i'm following ur thread with interest too, (we will apply soon inshallah); good luck for all and don't look at those who maybe get it faster than u...there r others poorer, the Gulf region (Abu-Dhabi office) could take 27 months, can u imagine more than 2 years away from ur love one...in comparison 10-12 months will pass so fast

yea its true, a lot of offices are worse but again many are better as well, i personally don't think i could take waiting that long, and the thing is its been almost 1 year since i left Iran but we applied in January because her documents got lost once and lots of other unneeded problems, and honestly the only thing that keeps me going is the fact that im going back to Iran for a while to refresh otherwise :-X haha, the most difficult thing is not being able to do anything to change things..... i think that is worse than waiting, i mean there is nothing , absolutely nothing we can do to even make the process go faster for 1 day , that's the hard part

If they stick to their platform of conditional PR and weed out immigration fraud, it may actually speed up legitimate immigration applicants wait times. It probably wont effect any of us on this forum as of right now, but new legislation should improve things for future couples!

i think conditional pr is a bunch of crap, , its just an excuse for them to delay things and keep the budget steady and more importantly keep the immigration flow steady, they dont want what the liberals did in the 90's which was to bring like 250,000 immigrants to canada! conservatives have a horrible immigration agenda but we are stuck with them, thankfully it wont affect us , but think about it, How the hell would they be able to tell if a marriage is genuine? they are going to play Counselor or PSYCHOLOGIST?! orr how can a couple prove if its genuine, oh yeah this is a part of their agenda, you have to have been married for 2 years, loool because there is no couple in the world that gets seperated after those 2 years looooool wow , such stupid ideas, gotta love the conservatives

hi everyone i was wondering if we all go in front of immigration in Ottawa and tell them why they are keeping us separate because i cannot go back home and be with my wife i have to leave my job and my everything in order to be with my family so friends lets gather up and go there and tell them that they don not have right to keep us waiting for this long

Im not sure what you are talking about. Nothing about the process changes, however you and your spouse have to live together for 2 years and prove it (e.g., mortgage, bills, etc.) before you can apply for citizenship. Therefore those people who commit marriage fraud will now be deterred because they wouldn't be able to so simply get citizenship upon landing. So no a psychologist is not needed Sohrab jan. You know it's pathetic, how many students in my wife's IELTS class have asked her to see if I have friends who would marry for money and bring them to Canada so that they can settle here on false marriages? It has caused her great stress, and it's ridiculous because it is happening all over the world! Love should not be bought, and I believe these conditional visas will be a great deterrence! Hey it worked for the Scandinavian countries why not us?

yeah ive heard of that before too, its actually pretty popular in the middle east, but its not the people's fault, its the oppression by the regime's of which they live in that they are forced to seek any way out so no i dont blame them and i dont think anyone should look down on them, you for one are an Iranian and you know the situation of our country and how ridiculous the situation is so i dont blame those people, i dont say its right to play with someone's feelings/life for a visa, no im against that like anyone, but i know mutual agreements where people get married for a sum and divorce as soon as they arrive, without even meeting! and thats not only in iran, i dont agree with it but desperate times call for desperate measures and thats pretty much the reason why we have immigration fraud, so i am all for fixing that but what i meant to say was that some legislations move forward quickly and have negative repercussions for the wrong people,

Sorry, maybe I should have been clear, I am not Iranian, I do not hold Iranian citizenship and was born in Canada (3rd generation Canadian). My wife is Iranian who I met while studying in Canada (my ancestry is European) Also, I think oppression is bad, however playing with a persons heart is cruel too. Legal ways exist for everyone, but some people cheat the system to jump the gun. Regardless of what country or who they are, right is right, and wrong is wrong.

yes i cannot leave my job because i will lose my job i went back home 3 times in last 2 year so i cannot afford it as well i am lost i don't know what should i do my wife is so stressed out and i am looking for away to get an answer

I understand what you are all going through.It seems that we only recieve 1 or 2 passport requests each month and that is definitely not enough.You wonder what is going on in the Damascus office.
People who have applied maybe a year before me got their PPR in less than 4 months.I'm tired of them saying how easy and fast it was for them and how there might be something wrong with my case.
I am glad that there are people here who understand
