when it says application recived this means it is under process and processing time will start after they recieve document. mine is the same it is still application recieved. i never recieved AOR nor any request for additional documents after 4 months of being recieved by damascus. so dont worry.

This is exactly what I feared! I just wish they would do every country's processing in their own capital. Makes no sense! Question, when passports are requested would they ask you to send your passport to Damascus or can someone in Iran just get their VISA in Tehran? How does this process work?

dear canaidiandude....
when ur passport requested u have two ways to send them ur passport...via cofficial courrier or in person...u can also fill the authorized formand let someone else to go to syria.....if u send them via courrier i think u have to send it to embassy of canada in tehran then they will send it to damasscus...

Although after that I got my file number through E-mail; however, they have not asked me to submit any requested documents either.

I've heard that upon the request for additional documents they just ask to fill a supplementary form. I wonder if it is the form included in the guide 3911 e:

from page 9 to 13 which is the "SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION FORM To be completed by ALL applicants aged 18 years or older"

In that case I can be optimistic that there is no document missing in my profile and there is no reason for being worried about not being contacted.
I will be more than thankful if you advise.

my friend in tehran just go to DHL meydoon arjantin and then u can send it and no u cant get it tehran, the canadian embassy in tehran doesnt do immigration (sponsorship) , only tourist visa ,study and work

Mohammed the questionnaire was not in the supplementary documents. Basically it was a one page questionnaire summarizing everything you've already submitted. If they haven't asked you for it they probably never will..

dear mohammad, as they say no news is the best news, FIRST of all if you are missing documents missassauga wouldnt forward it to syria, Secondly when it goes to syria its the documents that they check is the ones that are related to the person being sponsored , like medical , police report and such, and once again they will IMMEDIATELY let you know if you are missing anything, when it comes to the website, dont worry about, in almost ALL the cases they start working on it without CHANGING anything on the E CASE, like it can say APPLICATION RECEIVED and 5 months later you get your visa and it wont change ..... they dont bother updating the internet
