Udayan_Majumder : i have paid CAD 2500 as a deposit fee to the univ (which is mandatory to reserve your seat), and i think CAD 10,000 needs to shown through a GIC ..

I have got few information from few of my friends whi completed their course.. they said finally getting your masters for pr and yu would finaly get a job at the end of the day..its not about the university whre yu study..and dal provide scholarship for everysemster based on your mark...

@patelsp : since you are living in BC., how do you find the telecom/network job market there in Canada in general, is there a demand for for certified people like CCNP,CCIE etc..

Thanks for the wishes Arvind ... I do agree that Certifications are valued everywhere as a matter of fact.. And I would advice that atleast complete basic certi (CCNA) b4 going for the course as it would make things a lot easier to understand and eventually translate into better grades ...

HI Folks ,
Just recieved a mail from the univ stating that they have recommended me for the admission for Sep 14 intake and has been forwarded to the faculty of the graduate studies for the final approval.Also there is attachment stating the same as well as the date by when the payment needs to be made.
So ...does it mean that its a confirmed admit ??? Or is there something else to it ??
Ne1 who got admit...kindly advice.

@ gdange87 : Its almost confirmed , but it will be officially be confirmed once you receive a acceptance letter from the faculty of graduate studies..you have to deposit after you receive that and may take bout 3 weeks..

Guys ... I have been asked to send a copy of my degree to the university before they make an offer to me.However there is an issue here. On the degree , my last name has been misspelt and I have sent in an application to get it fixed to the MUmbai University.So currently i only have the copy where my name is not spelt correctly.
Would this be a problem ?? Any suggestion folks

i think this can be best addressed by the PM or office assistant,if this is a just a typo maybe they can overlook and accept the same. In my case, the name on my degree was b.arvindan but i have applied as arvindan baskaran as in my passport and later documents.i had made a affidavit of name stating both are name of same persons..

In my case , in the degree and final year mark sheets , My last name is incorrectly spellt.
Dangle instead of Dange ---- definitely a typo here..But do not want to take a chance considering everywhere else I have the correct name.I am also planning to make an affidavit stating the same.BTW , did u send the affidavit to the Dal ?? Do they recognise it ??

i had sent the affidavit to them ., but since they raised no specific objections wrt to it., i believe they would have recognized that. ..
