Hi Air force 5,

Yea, we shall share our timelines. I'm sponsoring my wife. Just hoping that everything can be finalized before the end of this year.
Hopefully u will be united with your husband soon.
When did you do your medicals ? If you applied in December that means it will soon expire. In that case, Dakar will likely speed up your file...so
that your visa is issued before it expires. Make sure you check your e-mail and ECAS regularly.
My wife's medical was done in April...so there is still much time.

Turbo2000 let's keep fingers crossed that we will get passport request soon. Here is my time line. January 02 2015 Application Received, April 13 2015 AOR1, there is no AOR2 until October 9 2015 I found out that my application was in process April 17 2015. Turbo just to give you a little bit of light in my application. This is the 2nd time I am applying for Permanente Residence outside of Canada. The first time was through Nairobi VO between 2012 and 2014 then it was rejected because my husband had his divorce after our marriage and he did not know that would jeopardize our application. We married last year for the second time and sent the application on December 30th 2014. Now we have a baby boy and in July this year my husband added him to my application. My husband only became a Canadian Citizen 1 week ago. So let's stay in touch if you hear anything from your side and I will do on my side too.

Hello Wal_Abeche,

Welcome to the thread. Being 'in process' is a good sign, at least we know the VO is working on it.
I wish the process is finalized soon.

Turbo2000 I did my medicals May 2014 before they reject my first application. And when I was about to reapply I went to do my medicals the doctor said he cannot do it because the old ones were still valid in his systems. When I reapply CIC updated my medicals right up in their systems too. My ecase used to display:

Application Received since January 02,2015.

We have received your permanent residence application on January 02, 2015
Medicals have been received

Until October 09,2015 my application displayed IN PROCESS

In Process

We have received your permanent residence application on January 02,2015
We started processing your application on April 17,2015
Medicals have been received

Now here is what I forgot to mentioned. My husband sent our son's paperwork to CPC on July 15,2015 and he did not write on top of the envelope Urgent Add On. I am assuming they slow down the process when my husband email them on July 07,2015 how to add a child in the application. I guess they got the update from CPC about the add on around October 9 that is why ecase displayed IN PROCESS.

Sounds like Dakar is on the move now. My husband's status has changed to "in process". I saw it today but do not know when it changed. There are 3 lines:

Application received Jan 8, 2014
started processing Mar 27, 2014 (?? does not make any sense)
medicals have been received.

Does anyone know if this means anything? Is this good news?

Hi SenoritaBella,

My Ecase and Turbo2000's changed to IN PROCESS last October 9th 2015, probably yours too! who knows? But all I know is that our status changed to IN PROCESS for a reason, because someone worked on our files. I am honestly happy to see SenoritaBella coming up with a good news on our Dakar thread. All I can share with you guys is that in my previous application my Ecase never changed to IN PROCESS. It displayed Application Received for 1 year and 7 months then Decision Made which was a rejection because Eligibility of our application did not pass. Which is why Ecase did not changed to IN PROCESS back then. We ordered GCMS Notes yesterday too. Now we are waiting to get PPR and do our son's medicals. On a positive note dear friends IN PROCESS is a very good sign which is a positive indication that our files are 90% processed. I have the experience and I have been in this matter for quite a long time (2.5 years). when files change from RECEIVED TO IN PROCESS, the interview is waived, Eligibility is passed, CIC has already completed processing at least 90% of the work. Criminality and Security start at the same time Eligibility start to save time. I know what I am talking about because our previous file had Security and Criminality completed before they finish the final Review on Eligibility. We ordered GCMS Notes so many times that we became familiarized with quite a lot of stuff CIC does behind the curtains. So between 4 to 6 weeks guys expect a good news from Dakar.

Wow. Good to get a better idea of how they work behind the scenes. If things go as you've said, it will be an awesome early Christmas present for all of us. Our medicals expired long time ago, probably we will get PPR with medical request, or they could extend our medicals (and save us some $$)... one can hope aye? haha. This news made my night. Thank you.

Hi, I also got mine too and I am in South Africa.

Good for you. But i can't find any courier to send it

i know but like i said DHL won't privide a return envelope that's the think tho.
that's why i posed it to see if anyone had this situation before

Congrats to Ib and Air Force 5 for the PPR,

@ Ib: Your case is a bit unique, you can check any other express mail service that support a return envelope, otherwise, you can utilize the services of someone based in Dakar to collect the stamped PP and send it back to u.

N.B: Can u share ur timeline with us ?

@ Air force 5,
You were very correct about your analysis that we should expect PPR in the coming weeks. :)
Hopefully I get mine soon. My wife has been checking her e-mails every second lol.
