Hi Abde, thx for your update I really don't know what's going on with that CIC visa office in Dakar that's insane , wish the best for all of us, let's stay inform so we'll know about their moves

hey everyone! new week hopefully we hear good news.

does anyone knows how long it takes after ppr and police clearance to have the passport back?

Hi Abde, I don't know what's wrong with Dakar VO seriously, its so depressing you should receive your visawhile ago,
like my wife her dependents even are not coming in canada or any background check as they are minors , dakar has everything they asked , and in here in canada the Immigration just need Dakar OK in order to issue my wife COPR , i sent them an email 3 wks ago but not reply , I resend another one yesterday hope they will reply this week , my wife she's so depressed now about it
I really wish the best for all of us here , hope we all have a good news from Dakar this wk, lets stay inform

I see the processing times just increased to 25 months. :-X Hope you guys gets some positive news soon as well as the rest of us waiting.

Hi senioritabella, I don't think so if Dakar VO ever that processing time at all , Its always 25 months Dakar supposed to be fast since they outsource some visa categories to other neighbors countries , I spoke to few people in Quebec they told me took them just 5-6 months for dakar to issued their spouses and dependents children's visa , hope good news are coming for all of us

Amen! Let it be so for us all. Someone told me their friend's wife was sponsored in 8 months back in 2012. I pray it doesn't take too long... some days, I am so sad so I just work a lot.:( We have missed so many "firsts" - 1st birthday together, 1st christmas, etc. God see us all through.

Hi to everyone here, I'm new in this thread. File received on 30 June and approved on 08 September 2014 and send to Dakar VO.
What's next? how long should we wait for any update?

Congrats on getting sponsor approval. Hard to know how long the wait will be. Dakar does not send acknowledgement of receipt, so after a month or two months, you may want to apply for GCMS notes to see if the file is in Dakar. That's what I did.

May be my timeline could help a bit: I applied January 8th, got sponsor approval Feb 12th. Last week we got a document request from Dakar, so at least we know they are working on our file. Normally document request means a little delay. Goodluck!

Hello,

My wife's daughter lives in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo.
Her permanent resident application to Canada has been approved by the office in Dakar.
We have received the following email from the Dakar office:

Sir/Madam

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.
We are pleased to inform you that your application has been approved.
The validity date of visa in your passport cannot be extended.
Please contact a courier company for the withdrawal of your passport and documents.
Best regards

Can anyone help us as to determine how to have the passport send from the office in Dakar to the daughter in Kinshasa.
I have called DHL Canada and I was unable to order a pick up from Senegal to be delivered in Kinshasa.
DHL Canada advised that to perform such transaction we have to have a DHL account that is only available to companies.
What options do we have to have the passport send to Kinshasa from the visa office in Dakar?

Thanks for your responses.
