Have been trying to link my account eversince but its not working. On ecas do they update when they are working on police background check. Or they just jump from medicals to ppr?

I don't think you will see that on ECAS. Maybe on my CIC but not all visa offices update it to the best of my knowledge. Maybe someone else can provide more details.

Hi All,

My wife(PA) medical will be expiring in couple months (mid-December); with the pace Dakar is going now, would it be wise to re-do the medical before it expires or wait until they request a new one?

Wait until they request for new one, because visa office sometimes use to extend it by them self if they didn't tell you to re-do it..

Dakar office this is unfair. Have been seeing people applications approved in less time. Exemple Cairo Egypt processing time 12months. Saw some applicant who applied April and got passport request september landed the same september.

Very very unfair VO! Another week and no updates. The wait is painful. I wish Dakar will sit up. It is 8months and two weeks now since we applied and nothing at all. It is ridiculous.

I was having some trouble linking my account as well. However for those of you who have yet to link their account, or are having trouble I have found what works. When it asks you how many people are included in the application you must write 2 (1 sponsor + 1 applicant). I was previously putting 1 because I thought it just meant on the applicants side.

Agreed. I'm getting very impatient. After finally linking my account I am very very disappointed to see virtually no change at all. I keep checking the forum and am feeling overwhelmed when I see other offices processesing so much faster. I really thought Dakar VO was getting faster.....

Same here getting very frustrated when seeing how others applications are been processed so fast. Yes to link my account i did the same as you and it worked.
