So today checked my status online. Under sponsorship application status it says Decision made (this was changed today because i do check my status everyday) but my spouse received the approval for sponsorship way back june 3rd and application was sent to dakar the same month, they started processing application in dakar june 10th. And permanent resident still in process.
Why is it just now it change to decision made am confuse

It looks like CIC did a mass update on ECAS for everyone whose sponsorship has been approved. It really doesn't have any effect on the PR application.
We just have to keep waiting for Dakar to wake up. These VOs are so slow. Patience is all we need right now.

Thanks Deffy2016 Dakar should really wake up. Have been reading around and people whose files where transfered since January still no news

Same thing happened to me, but it is just confirming that the sponsor has been approved.

Judging by the timeline of other applicants, Deffy2016 I think ours should be coming soon since we have almost identical timelines!

Any news from Dakar anyone?? Forum seems pretty quiet. I was reading other forums, and many people who applied in January and February have received PPR within the past few days. Still trying to remain optimistic even though it can be really tough!

Indeed, it has been quiet.
I also noticed people receiving PPR as well;hope we will be next soon

The forum has indeed been very quiet. Hard to accept that the month of September is gone and no PPR. My patience is wearing out.

Dakar should get moving so that our loved one can be here before the winter

My wife and I are getting tired from the long wait. And we didn't receive the GCMS notes. At least the application is linked, so we know they,ll be working on it sometime. But is simply so long. I'm looking forward to Spring as I really hope she gets her papers a long time before that ! I was hoping for october/november, but we didn't even get passport request and I guess the flight will be a several weeks after PPR. So hoping for a landing before snowfall would require some good news fast !

Have been trying to link my account eversince but its not working. On ecas do they update when they are working on police background check. Or they just jump from medicals to ppr?
