I dont think that the passport has to have 12 months validity, please see below (from cic.gc.ca) : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3999Etoc.aspcopperprop said:To anyone who has gotten a PPR from Dakar. Congrats SeulDansMonBocal!!SeulDansMonBocal said:Hi guys got PPR today. I have some questions
Medical is expiring in 3 months so no need to renew it? The email didnt ask for it but only said that my wife will need her passport for her medical.
Also how long anybody know how long Dakar VO takes to issue visa once passeport is received?
Can they / do they ask for interview after PPR?
So excited.
I have to second that, my PPR also said passport has to be valid for at least 12 months. Congratulations by the way. Also from what i've heard, it might take abbout 2 to 3 weeks to have the passport back.SeulDansMonBocal said:Hi diorlat,
Thanks for helping me.
Regarding the passeport validity the PPR emails says you need to make sure your passport is valid 12 months from date of PPR email. Might be visa office specific.
It is visa office specific; good to knowmaligator001 said:I have to second that, my PPR also said passport has to be valid for at least 12 months. Congratulations by the way. Also from what i've heard, it might take abbout 2 to 3 weeks to have the passport back.
How long ago did you email Dakar? I would wait to hear from them better putting him on the planecopperprop said:I can't believe the stress I am feeling. I emailed the Dakar office and I called the number for immigration in Canada and they said that they might not reply to the email for a month. I'm considering putting my husband on the plane on Monday.
If they won't accept his passport. (Expires April 20, 2017 - they want 12 months) what do you think my chances are for an extension to the 30 day deadline?
Just tonight, but our 30 days is counting down. It will cost significant travel costs to renew the passport in Canada too (travel across the country), and with the time left on our current visas it might be better just to take care of it now. I'm worried that Dakar will take a long time to respond and it will increase the time for him getting to come to Canada.diorlat said:How long ago did you email Dakar?
