Customs Declaration Card

Hello,

My husband received his Confirmation of Permanent Residency along with his passport and visa to enter Canada. I am a little confused, on what option my husband has to choose when he completes the customs declaration card. Does he choose the visitors to Canada? But then they ask how many days, obviously he will be staying in Canada indefinitely. Or does he choose Resident of Canada, even though he only has Confirmation of Permanent Residency. I'm really confused, any clarification would be much appreciated.

Thanks

If there is no other option (like first time immigrant), I would choose Resident of Canada. They will put him through the room for first time to land in Canada anyway. He would complete everything else there, and right there he would be a legit PR.

There is no option for first time immigrant. This is a link to a copy of the customs declaration card.

Doesn't he have to pass customs first, before going to the immigration section of the airport?

Yup he will pass thought the customs first, but I'm positive you will still need to choose the "Resident of Canada" option.
